Real Miracles: Healings & Salvations in a Mall

     The Eston Bible College students joined us again this Thursday night.  Thirty-eight folks showed up at Zion Church for the pre-street time, and 9 people joined us at Portage Place making a total of 47 people.  The mall was fairly busy, and at the de-briefing time there were many reports of people being healed, plus I heard reports of 6 salvations, but I only talked to a few teams, so there may have been more.  [It is so amazing how the Lord prepares hearts ahead of time, and how open people are to the Gospel.] Here are a few stories from last night.

     A friend of mine from Barrie, Ontario, Dove Money, is visiting family in South-East Manitoba, and she has joined us the last 2 Thursdays.  She hopes to be able to join us for all of February.   Dove has a similar ministry in Barrie where she and some friends pray for people in a mall there.  Last Thursday she recorded 8 encounters.  This week she brought her sister to take notes and she recorded 13 encounters, almost all in the food court.  She was on my team (or was I on her team?), I had trouble keeping-up to her.  We witnessed several people being healed, and we  led one lady to the Lord.

    Dove approached 2 First Nations ladies named Sharon and Nancy.  Sharon said she had level 9 pain in her knee.  We prayed and it dropped to 0 immediately.  She was so encouraged she then told us she also had level 7 pain in her lower back caused from a damaged disc.  We prayed and she said she was experiencing a tingling feeling in her back, and the pain was diminishing.  The tingling was continuing so while we were waiting for the healing to be complete we turned and asked Nancy if she needed prayer.  She was clearly amazed at the healing her friend was experiencing, and she told us that she didn’t hear well, and she had a constant ringing in her ears.  Dove put her hands on her ears and spoke healing to the ears, and when she took her hands off her ears, Nancy’s eyes went big.  She said, “I can hear clearly, and the ringing is gone.”  We then turned our attention back to Sharon.  The tingling had stopped, and her pain was gone.  We then had her stand-up and move around to test her back.  When she sat down she asked, “What are you guys – some kind of psychics?”  We assured her that we had no psychic power, that they were both healed by the healing power of Jesus.  We then talked to them about Jesus, and asked if they would like to receive Jesus in their hearts.  They both appeared a little freaked by the whole healing experience, and they said they weren’t ready just yet.  I think they needed time to process, so we asked them to meet us next week.

    Dove then approached a lone First Nations lady and asked her if she would like prayer.  Edna responded with a definite ‘yes’.  She said that someone was doing witchcraft against her and she had terrible dreams at night and couldn’t sleep.  We bound the spirits of witchcraft and set her free, and then advised her on how to walk in that freedom if the bad dreams tried to come back.  She had a walker, so I asked her why she needed it.  She said she had pain in her back and legs.  Dove got down on the floor put her hands on her legs and prayed, and Edna told us the pain was gone.  We then prayed for her back.  The level 8 pain dropped down to 3 after 2 prayers.  She said that was good enough as it felt a lot better, but I told her we weren’t finished.  I then prayed, “3, 2, 1, 0 all pain go now”.  She immediately said all the pain was gone.  We told her Jesus healed her because He loved her.  We asked if she knew Jesus.  She said, “Well, I know who He is, but I couldn’t say I know him.”  We asked if she would like to know Him.  She said, “Sure”.  Dove then led her through 7 steps of salvation using coloured beads.  Wow, I never would have thought evangelism could be so easy.

     This next story comes from team members Thomas and Caleb, who had encountered a man who had a badly damaged eye.  Cashton told them he had been kicked in the eye.  Thomas said the eyeball was all black – there was no evidence of a pupil or iris, and the man couldn’t see out of it.  After their first prayer the pupil and iris appeared.  After the 2nd prayer the white around the iris appeared, and after the 3rd prayer Cashton said, “Hey I can see, colour and everything.”  Thomas admitted he was just as surprised as Cashton.  [We pray in faith believing and expecting healing, but we cannot help being surprised at Jesus’ amazing power, and love for people.]  Wow! – what a faith building experience for those 2 young men!

     An interesting story tonight from Thomas:  He and Caleb met an

aboriginal man, Isaiah, that my team and I had engaged with last week in the mall. Thomas didn’t know that of course.

Our team had prayed for Isaiah because he was going to need a hip replacement on his right hip and had been walking with a cane and he had pain and discomfort in his right hip joint.

Well, Thomas said that tonight he was NOT walking with a cane, and he engaged with Thomas and was told that he had been prayed for earlier.

In fact, Isaiah was very open with Thomas and there seemed to be a shift in his heart since the time we had engaged with him last week! Wow!

I was so excited to hear that, as sometimes we don’t know just what will happen after we pray. But there was marked improvement and we’re believing for full healing for Isaiah’s body. Yeah God!  (P.S.

Thomas didn’t know that I had met and prayed with Isaiah last week, and Isaiah didn’t know that Thomas was my son! LOL)
