Twenty-one folks came out to minister this week. Some went to Main Street,  Flora Place, Central Park, and Portage Place. The Village Connection (Thrift store) in St.

Pierre donated dozens of colourful ladies scarves for us to give to the ladies we met. The idea was to place a scarf around their neck, tell them Jesus loved them, and offer to pray for them.

      Tyler and I spent the evening in Portage Place Food Court and visited with many of the regulars.

Some wanted to bring us up to date on their circumstances, one wanted to discuss the Bible, another was hungry and asked for food, another showed us his walker that was in serious need of repair.

I may have a new one for him, but more on that next week.

  It is interesting that the regulars have become accustomed to our weekly visit to the Food Court, and are often waiting for us to arrive. Sometimes they even appear to compete for our attention.

People are willing to talk about Jesus, and receive prayer, once you have established a relationship with them

Pastor Thomas’ Report:

Tonight, Riley and I went to the back of Portage Place and prayed for a man named Nathan, a Christian, who just got out of jail on time for his son’s graduation from High School in answer to his prayer.

He let us pray for his struggle with diabetes and appreciated our words of encouragement and saw us as a Godsend.

We then went over to the Quest Inn to pray for people and met Barry from Nelson House and his daughter Nicole. He had severe diabetes and was almost blind in both eyes.

After the first prayer he looked at a street sign to read and it was just “a black blur.” We prayed again and he could read a word on the sign and after the third time he could read most of the sign and had 75 percent of his vision restored.

Praise God.

We then found a man in a wheelchair from Garden Hill named Brian who had suffered a stroke on his left side. We commanded the paralysis to go and released healing.

Strength instantly returned to his hand which had been limp and he now could give us a firm handshake. He was shocked and said he was a believer and this was an answer to his prayer.

We then went into the Quest Inn and prayed for a group of people from Cross Lake who had diabetes and kidney failure. They were greatly touched by the Holy Spirit.

One of them was the great aunt of a young person in our church.

As we were leaving we prayed for a young man named Nick who had badly sprained his ankle and all the pain left and he could jump on it. What a great evening.

Pastor Lorraine’s Report:

This week Michelle and I had a very busy night of ministry.

We intended to go to Portage Place but never made it inside the mall as we ended up at Central Park speaking, praying with and sharing Jesus with people.

At first, we were at a table where a sign was placed (“Need Prayer?”). We prayed for a number of people (or joined with others on our H2O Teams to pray).

Some of the highlights:  An Arabic believer named Mohammad came to the table. Michael prayed for him and we joined him. As we prayed, he began to weep quietly as the Lord touched him.

Michael then spent some more follow up time with him so we could plug him into an Arab speaking church.

We then prayed with Alex who had arthritic pain in his knee joints. He saw a significant measure of healing as most of his pain left his body.

Jeff who also had some leg pain and could not walk well on one of his legs. We prayed and some of his pain left.

We walked through the park and met some Muslim women who were very friendly towards us. It was difficult at times to communicate as we could not speak Arabic and we could not always understand the words they spoke.

But one woman began to share a bit of her story as a refugee coming to Canada from Syria and how she lost some members of her family in the war.

She cried as she shared and we hugged her, showing Jesus’ love and compassion for her.

Later, we met a young man named Orion sitting alone on a bench. He had many questions about God.

We prayed with him and as tears began to flow down his face we spoke of Jesus and led him to the Lord.

And then he asked for a Bible so we invited him to join us at the prayer table where there would be a Bible for him. I gave him a card for H2O so we could follow up on him.

Then we prayed for a young woman named Flora who had sold herself on the street and/or had been involved in a number of bad situations where there were much abuse and pain.

She welcomed our prayers and when asked if she had any dreams, she shared that one. She said she would like to be the first female Aboriginal Prime Minister of Canada! We affirmed and applauded her boldness and blessed her.

God could certainly do that! We were blown away by how big she dreams—with a desire to make a difference in our nation!

There were many others that we ministered to, but too many encounters to count.  It felt like ‘popcorn’ as opportunities ‘popped-up’ all over the place!

Andy’s Report:

Spent most of the evening with Ron at Central Park. We met Dave who was very depressed and anxious. he was going through many personal and relational trials. We encouraged and prayed for him and his girlfriend.

It led to the spiritual condition of his heart and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. We gave him the Gospel of John to read and recommended some churches nearby for him to attend.

Then we met Justin sitting on a park bench waiting for his turn to play soccer. He has been in Canada for 6 years from South Sudan and had trouble passing the citizen test. We prayed for his next test and blessings over him.

We then met Aioub a 19-year-old Muslim who was looking for work.

He was with 3 girls of the similar age category whom we thought were Muslim by their dress. they all wanted prayer for jobs. afterward we found out that the girls were Christian.

At first, Aioub said he wanted to work in a store like Tiger, and we prayed for him.

When I heard that Miriam wanted to be a doctor, something changed for Aioub, his desire was actually to be an engineer, we prayed and he could envision the door opening for him to be an engineer in heaven.

The girls were Miriam, Veronica, and Sarai, who were all trusting God for their future jobs.

We prayed for several more Muslims, the blessings of God over them and their families in Jesus name.
