       Very hard to count the number of ministers last night, as several went to Central Park early, and teams were scattered throughout the Park.  My best guess is there were about 34 of us.

    Central Park was full of people, and there was lots going on.  Our team members had the ‘Need Prayer’ sign up, and they handed out cold water.  It always surprises me how many people walk up and ask for prayer.  There was a Jehovah Witness group across the Park encountering people, and there was a politician out soliciting support.  Danny MacKay, the National Ambassador for ‘I Am Second’ was also out with a team evangelizing and praying for people.  We were able to visit a bit and encourage one another.

      I had missed the last 2 weeks, so when I got to Portage Place Food Court, several of the ‘regulars’ were waiting to talk to me (Edna, Doug, Don, Jen, Brad, David, Debbie, No Name).  Each of them wanting to update me on what was going on in their lives.  I moved from table to table and listened to their stories.  I was encouraged by Brad, a First Nations man who planted and Pastored a church on the Berens River Reserve for 17 years.  I have known him for over a year, but he was always cool towards me, and very closed.  A couple of months ago I prayed for his brother Axel’s double vision, and he was healed – then a couple of weeks ago I prayed for his 5-month-old grandson, who was having trouble breathing and he was also healed.  Last night Brad began to share his journey as a Pastor, and some of the difficulties he encountered.  It seems like I have finally earned his trust.  We were interrupted so many times by visitors, he never got to complete his story, but I am looking forward to seeing him again.  I know Jesus wants to heal him from his past hurts and restore him to ministry.

Diana’s Report:

    Ed, Sam and I started our evening at Siloam Mission handing out ice cream. Amazing how a small act of kindness can brighten up someone’s day.  We were able to engage several people.

I ended up running into a lady that I had mentored around 12 years ago’s and had helped her as she got her life in order, got baptized and got her children back from CFS.  I lost track of her but have had 2 chance encounters with her through the years where I found that she had fallen back into hard times and had again lost her kids to CFS.

She is living at the Manwin with her partner now and I was able to pray with her and remind her of the love of Jesus.

It was a very special encounter.  Then I came upon Sam talking to a man I recognized named Gordon that I used to visit with often at the Mission and have theological talks with, but hadn’t seen in many, many years.  He wasn’t in the place to accept prayer or a blessing, but it was good to re-connect and I told him that we still serve lunch at the mission on Fridays if he wants to stop by sometime.

Pastor Thomas’ Report:

Tonight I teamed up with Chandler, Abbey, and Jasmine from the Street Invaders team who joined us, as well as Alicia.

We went to the Health Sciences Center to pray for Anne,  a woman connected to our church who has leukemia.  The day after praying for this woman last week, I got a call from my former neighbor who asked me to pray for her son who was also just diagnosed with the same acute leukemia and was on the same day of treatment.

He just happened to be across the hall from Anne so we prayed for both of them and brought them great encouragement.

From there we went to the SICU to pray for anyone needing prayer.  A man led us into the room of Desiree who was on life support after losing too much blood after giving birth to a healthy baby girl.

Her heart had stopped beating for a half hour so there was a concern for brain damage.   We prayed for her and her family.  We also prayed for a man who had been in his semi when he was struck by a train. He survived but had broken ribs.

We joined with the entire family to pray for this man named Gerald and released healing and peace to the family.

On the way down the elevator, I kept hearing the name, Darlene.  When the elevator opened there was a woman named Darlene who asked for prayer for healing of blindness.  The team took turns praying and after commanding blindness to go and releasing healing, Darlene said the blurriness was leaving and she could now count how many fingers I had up.  Praise God!!!

Ron & Donna’s Report:

We went straight to Central Park and arrived around 6:20.  We walked around it 4x claiming the area for God and asking God to stretch out His hand to heal and perform mighty signs and wonders.

On our 4th time around we met Eric and Meghan and 2 other Jehovah Witnesses who said they were in the park from 6 to 8.

We attempted a friendly conversation during which time we told them what we were doing and that we would be meeting with other Kingdom H2O people.

They were polite saying that in the past “some of them” that is KH2O people had come over to talk with them.  After meeting up with Erdmann, Adina, Gaylene and Terry we started off again and ran into Patricia.

She accepted the cold water that Erdmann had brought and told us she had come for prayer. She said she was a believer who prayed for her family every day.

She complained of a pain on the right side of her chest which the doctor said he had no answer for her.

Her pain before praying was about a 5. After praying for her once she said it was about a 3 and then after we prayed a second time she said the pain was gone.

She was quite excited and said as she was leaving that she was going to tell her friend to come over as well. I left Donna at the table and continued with Ken and Tyler to talk again with the Jehovah Witnesses.

Again the conversation was friendly.  Then Ken and I prayed with Lukeman who said he was Muslim. He agreed that we could pray for him but he didn’t want to pray with us.  However, as we prayed he began saying amen to many things we were praying for him.

Donna and I met up again and we prayed for Brenda who wanted prayer to stop her smoking habit.

From Donna – After Ron left I prayed for Vivian who requested prayer for her heel which she needed surgery on. She said she was on heavy painkillers and could not tell if the pain had lessened.

She let me know that her friend had sent her over to be prayed for!

Next, I prayed for Michelle who was going to AFM and she wanted help getting over her addiction. She acknowledged that she knew Jesus and wanted the prayer to help her.

I and others also prayed for George Abraham but when Lorraine came she had a Word of Knowledge for him “about burning feet” that seemed to make a difference.

Pastor Lorraine’s Report:

I was with Felipe and Les, and we also connected with members of the Street Invaders team.  Felipe spoke in Spanish with Lucas (the homeless evangelist who plays the piano in Portage Place).  He joined us again later in Central Park where we ministered and prayed for many people.  Wow!  So busy…prayed for Millie (injured right arm at the joint—prayed a few times and most of the pain left); bought a meal for Edna; prayed for Gavin a young boy with damaged knee joints and in much pain when he walked:  Prayed 3 times or so and much of the pain left.  Prayed for Gavin’s Grandma and Grandfather Rod who had kidney failure, bad hearing and bad feet in pain.  Les prayed for his feet and saw some improvement and reduced pain.  Prophesied over the family and they were greatly encouraged.  Met a man who misunderstood the difference between a medium and a prophet so we explained it to him—prophets of God have access to far superior knowledge to minister to others than a medium does!  Holy Spirit brought some healing to his body and we shared the Lord with him, although he claimed to be a believer in Jesus Christ.  Met one of the candidates running for the mayor’s office for the city of Winnipeg (Umar Hayat)!  We even got to pray for him in the park and introduce Jesus to him, although he wouldn’t say what he believed.  Our sense was that he was either Muslim or Hindu in the background.  That was a strange encounter, but we spent about 5-10 mins together chatting with him and his friends, praying a blessing over him which he gratefully received.  It was a busy place all evening long.

Andy’s report:

We began the evening in Central Park with four people on my team but shortly broke off into pairs. Linda and I talked to many people of different religions, some wanting prayer but most not.

What we prayed for was relationships, family, children, and different blessings they needed or wanted in their lives.

In it all, we proclaimed Jesus as the saviour of the world and God’s love for them. We left everyone happier than when we found them.  We clearly presented Jesus to Christians, Orthodox, and various denominations, Muslims, Sikh, and Hindus.

One person from Somalia whom I had shared Jesus previously came specifically to the park to find me, and share of his walk with Jesus. He had been church hopping and had not settled in. I invited him to meet me at my Church on Sunday.

We did not see any healing miracles but had an amazing night being missionaries of the world right here in Winnipeg.
