Street Healing Miracles: Eyes, Backs & Knees

     Ed and I were on a team.  We drove to Portage Place and walked to the park.  Not much happening so we walked to the mall.

     Right away, as we were walking inside we encountered two women, (Norma pushing a wheelchair and Christine her grandmother sitting in it with an injured right leg in a boot cast.)  We opened the doors for them and introduced ourselves, asking about Christine’s lower leg.

Her pain was about a 9. We prayed and within a few minutes, she was pain-free. Norma asked if we could also pray for her right ankle and proceeded to take off her running shoe.

We prayed a number of times for her ankle (it looked very bruised like she had twisted it and it was quite sore to move.)  We didn’t see any noticeable improvement, but we also noted that she had been drinking or taking drugs because she could barely keep her eyes open and she was hard to understand.

We asked Christine if we could help her in any way, or if she was hungry. She expressed that she would like chicken, fries and an orange drink!

So Ed wheeled her to the food court while I spent a few more minutes with Norma. I ordered some food for Christine and Norma who also expressed a desire for some food.

Norma was sometimes not very coherent in our conversation and all she wanted to do was to eat.

A short while later, Norma ended up on the floor in the food court and the security called the paramedics to attend to her.

     Later, Ed and I split up as we ministered to other people in the mall, and I decided to buy a large Thai soup bowl with noodles.

As I sat down Jose came over and we had a chance to be reacquainted. I had not seen her in about 6-8 weeks as she was heavily into drinking. So we talked a bit about that.

Jose is already a believer in Jesus, but not sure about her friend who came and joined us as we sat there (Linda). Other teams had already prayed and met with Linda earlier in the evening.

The three of us sat at the table together eating soup together out of a communal bowl!

They came and asked to share my soup so I told them to get themselves a spoon and then later gave them my soup bowl as we talked about aboriginal culture and food.

Overall, we laughed and had a good time around the table as I had an opportunity to engage and love on both Jose and Linda. So love these beautiful native women, and really enjoyed our time together around the table!

      Then Ed came back to our table and we prayed for Jose as she had fallen off of a swing and landed on her back earlier in the week and was in some amount of pain.

After a few minutes, her pain seemed to leave completely. A few minutes later as we were leaving the Food Court Jose was almost dashing out of the building!

Quite humorous actually to see this elderly woman moving so quickly with her cane in hand as she made her way towards the doors.
