This is my instant healing testimony from five days ago. I was hiking with my kids and grandkids at Fat Man’s Pass here in Arizona. It was one of those perfect family days—until I took a bad step.
I smashed my lower leg and ankle against a jagged rock 😱. Immediately, the pain was intense, and I could feel the swelling starting to rise rapidly. My natural reaction was panic. The pain was screaming at me, and I knew we were still out on the trail.
My first thought was to ask my wife, Jackie, to pray for me. But before I could get the words out, I heard the Holy Spirit whisper a question that stopped me in my tracks:
“Why aren’t you praying for yourself?”
Stepping Back into the Light
That whisper wasn’t a rebuke; it was an invitation. It reminded me of the time I had spent with the Lord earlier that very morning.
I didn’t start begging God to fix my ankle. Instead, I simply stepped back into the meditation I had been in hours before. I closed my eyes and returned to that place of Abiding with Jesus. I focused on being one with the Light—thinking of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration—and remembered that His light brings freedom to everything it touches.
I didn’t try to “work up” faith. I just rested in the reality of my oneness with Him.
My Instant Healing Testimony: Two Waves of Power
The moment I shifted my focus from the pain to that Light, something tangible happened. I felt two distinct waves of power wash through my body. It wasn’t subtle.
I checked my ankle. Instantly, I was 100% healed.
All pain and swelling were gone. I stood up, tested it, and finished the hike as if nothing had happened.
The Biblical Science of “Trance”
This wasn’t magic. It was what the Bible describes as accessing a superior reality. When I talk about “daydreaming” with God, I am referring to what the New Testament sometimes calls “Being in the Spirit” or entering a trance.
In Acts 10:10, the Apostle Peter “fell into a trance” and saw heaven open. The Greek word used there is Ekstasis (where we get the word “ecstasy”).
Literally, Ekstasis means “displacement of the mind” or “standing outside of oneself.” It isn’t about losing control; it is about stepping out of the limited “stasis” of our physical reality (where ankles are broken and pain is king) and stepping into the superior reality of the Kingdom (where we are healed and whole).
On that trail, I simply chose to step out of the stasis of pain and into the Ekstasis of God’s presence. The result wasn’t just a peaceful feeling; it was a physical realignment of my body to match the spiritual truth.
3 Steps to Apply This to Your Life
If you are reading this instant healing testimony and wondering how to access this reality yourself, start with these three steps:
- Don’t Panic: When pain hits, your body’s natural reaction is fear. Take a breath. Stop. Listen for the Holy Spirit’s whisper.
- Shift Your Focus: You cannot focus on the pain and the Light at the same time. Intentionally “daydream” or meditate on Jesus. See Him on the Mount of Transfiguration.
- Abide, Don’t Strive: Healing isn’t about straining to believe; it is about resting in the One who is already whole. As you abide in Him, His reality overwrites your reality.
I am continuing my practice of meditation prayer (Abiding with Jesus) and envisioning myself and all of humanity in perfect oneness with the triune God. My encouragement to you is to do the same — don’t wait for a broken ankle to practice standing in the Light. If this instant healing testimony resonates with you, I encourage you to share it.
