#106 – “Something Just Came Out of Me”, says girl after deliverance

Fifteen people came out to minister this week.  There was noticeably a larger number than usual of intoxicated people at Central Park, and Portage Place this week.  On my way from the Park to Portage Place, a man said he was hungry and asked me for money.  I told him I wouldn’t give him money, but I would buy him some food.  So he followed me, and so did 2 of his friends.  In the food court, he met 3 other friends (who were intoxicated), and he told them I was buying him food.  So there was now 5 others pressing me for food.  After buying the one a hamburger, in order to get away from his friends, I went and sat with team member Ryan and Edna (a regular).  The situation was not conducive to ministering to the one I fed.  Then two other regulars Art and Rita joined us.  The group demanding food followed me and surrounded our table, and became very aggressive in their behavior.  We each became uncomfortable and got up and moved to the other end of the food court.  After we left they began kicking chairs and even threw one.  Security quickly came and ushered them out.  The situation was a little tense, it was the first time in 2 years that I felt physically threatened while doing this ministry.

Gaylene’s Report:
I was joined by Mike, Andy and Gelane in Central Park on the longest day of the year and first day of the summer.
Immediately upon arriving at the park, I met a young Sudanese guy named Aj, who told me he was packing a weapon (turned out to only be a pair of manicure scissors). After talking for quite a while, I realized Aj is from the same tribe and family group as my spiritual son (who we video chatted with to confirm this fact). Aj was kicked out of his sister’s house and although he was trying to show a brave face, was clearly a bit freaked out at being homeless. He spent most of the night with us and several in the group prayed with him.
At the end of the night, Mike brought Cindy over to pray with us. She lost her husband last July and was weeping and pretty much inconsolable.  Initially, we simply prayed for the Comforter and for peace, but then she suddenly expressed her desire to die. In unison, we all started to pray in tongues and Holy Spirit revealed to me it was the spirit of death oppressing her so I commanded it to leave. She began manifesting and slithering under the table but we kept praying and suddenly she sat up and said: “something just came out of me!” We prayed for an infilling of the spirit and she said she felt calm and remarked several times about the change she felt. The difference in her demeanor and behavior was quite noticeable. Andy prayed with her to recommit her life to Jesus and spent more time praying with her in private.
To highlight the opposition we’ve been encountering in Central Park for the past month (from a particular regular group of people who have regularly cursed us out, hurled insults, and threatened us), the night ended with one of the women screaming at Mike and I as we left the park and then spitting on my car. As ugly a situation as it was, I was once again provoked by Scripture:
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” Romans 5:6
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” John 15:18-19
So I spoke blessing over her curses…and we prayed that Jesus would break into the hardest hearts.
Summer’s here. People get ready…it’s gonna get worse…and better.

Ron & Donna’s Report:
We joined up with Andy at Central Park, gave out some crackers and bottles of water and they were able to pray for several men to find housing in Winnipeg. We also prayed with Hugo who said he was a believer and he thanked us for praying for people in the park. He allowed us to pray a prayer of blessing over him.
Then Andy introduced us to Gaylene and Gelane who were beside the ‘Need Prayer’ sign next to a picnic table.  There Gaylene asked us to pray for Alex who said he just had 2 toes amputated from his right foot. After praying several times his pain went from a 5 to a 2. He thanked us and then walked away to join some friends at a near table. A few minutes later We helped Aj with a new belt and while We were doing that he showed us a wound in his side which apparently came from a bike accident.  We prayed for the wound to heal and the pain to go. After I prayed twice he thanked us for praying and told us he was just waiting to connect “with the guy with the weed”. God is able to meet any and all needs. It’s a privilege to work with Him sowing His love in the hearts of the people.

Michelle’s Report:
Ed, Warren, Les and I went to Main Street.  It was a rough night tonight.  Many folks were inebriated. We came with water bottles and pizza.   We were able to pray for a little aboriginal woman named Florence.  She had difficulty walking as her left leg was bandaged.  It was swollen and infected.  We prayed twice for her and Florence was amazed she was walking with no difficulty.  She was very appreciative of Jesus healing her and being able to eat pizza.
Les and Warren were also able to pray for a woman who had pain with her right knee, right foot, and ribs.  After praying for her the guys were told her pain was significantly reduced.
We were able to connect with Diane again.  We had not seen her in some time.  She recognized Michelle right away and asked for prayer for her ribs on the left side.  Ed was also gracious and bought a cheese pizza so she could have a couple of pieces that was a real treat for her.
Florence came to Michelle again thanking our team for being on the street.  I had mentioned to her Jesus was responsible for the pain leaving her leg.  Florence said she had been looking for God and didn’t know how to find him.  Michelle led her in a prayer to receive Jesus in her life.  Florence was precious, her face lit up, after receiving Jesus.  Ed had a card with information about our Kingdom H2O ministry so Florence could connect with someone to answer any further questions she might have about Jesus.
Our team then proceeded to Central Park.  Where we met up with other teams. Gaylene, Ed and I were able to pray for a woman named Dorcas.  She allowed us to pray for favor with her employer to allow her to take a holiday for a special event she desperately wanted to attend and for the necessary finances. Dorcas, in turn, prayed for us.

PROPHECY CORNER

“We are in a season of new beginnings and open doors. New levels of glory are being accessed through the works that are evidence of a living faith (see James 2:26). Many have already let go of the things that were hindering their forward progress. They have gone through the painful but necessary pruning process in order to bear the weight of the massive harvest of fruit that is ripening in this season.” Emily-Rose Lewis – The Elijah List
