Eighteen ‘Freedom Fighters’ came out to minister on the streets this week. My wife had prepared 22 toiletry kits for team members to hand out to street people (see picture below). Most of the contents and the containers for the kits have been donated by the St. Pierre Village Connection (thrift store).
My first encounter was with a man named Leo who was from Gillam. Four years ago, while he was out on his trap line, his home was destroyed by fire, and his wife, sister, and brother-in-law died in the fire. He had been sober for 25 years but started drinking again. He said he came to the city to find healing for his heart. Leo asked for prayer for his alcoholism and for his heart. I told him our meeting was the Divine reason for his visit to Winnipeg. I told him about how I had been healed from alcoholism 37 years ago, and that I was going to impart that healing to him. After praying I explained to him that he was healed from his addiction and I gave him some pointers on how to walk in his freedom. He listened very intently. I then prayed a release of the pain in his heart and replaced it with a blessing of peace. His countenance changed after I prayed.
Below in Morgan’s Report are the details of the blind eye that were healed last week. She also includes how witnessing her first miracle impacted her. This was only her 2nd timeout and serves as a great reminder that every Christian is empowered and has the authority to bring healing to people.
Morgan’s Report:
Last Thursday, I was teamed up with Kevin, Les, Audrey, and Diana. We began our evening by stopping on Main Street to hand out pizza and water on a busy portion of the sidewalk. I soon became engaged in conversation with ‘Goldie,’ who avidly spoke about the importance of being kind in all his past experiences. Had Kevin not pulled me away towards Victoria, I am certain Goldie would have been content to talk well into the evening. Victoria was standing a little way away from the crowd where the pizza was being distributed and informed us that she was waiting for a friend to join her for supper. She visibly had one weaker eye, and when Kevin asked her to place her hand over her stronger eye, Victoria said that she could see nothing out of her weaker eye, mentioning that she had encountered complications with a cataract in the past and was now entirely blind in that eye. With Victoria’s permission, Kevin prompted me to place my hand over her weak eye (Victoria’s hand remaining on her stronger eye) and commanding blindness to leave and be replaced with joy. Holding out two fingers in front of Victoria, Kevin asked if she could see anything. Victoria replied with no, but warily allowed me to once more place my hand upon her eye and pray a second time. Again, placing his hand in front of her, Kevin asked what she could see. Victoria reported with shy excitement and a big smile that she could see colour, her uncovered eye-widening a bit as she looked around. She was still unable to see with total clarity, so I placed my hand upon her eye a third time and prayed once more. This time she was able to read the glowing red ‘open’ sign in one of the shops’ windows. After this, she uncovered her eye and, looking a bit overwhelmed, claimed that this was “enough for one night.” Saying our goodbyes, we left Victoria to resume waiting for her friend.
While I felt the confidence and expectation that God’s will would be done that night, the expectation for miracles hadn’t quite sunk in. Perhaps it’s that human flaw that we don’t totally expect the things that we haven’t experienced before—this would be my first firsthand encounter with miraculous healing. Like Victoria, I was admittedly hesitant in the beginning but overcame this by focusing on the confidence and authority I have as a child of God and a disciple of Jesus to command healing and speak life. By the end of the encounter, I was filled with amazement and, much like Victoria, a bit overwhelmed by the wonder of it. Since then, I find myself often coming back to Mary’s response to encountering the miraculous: “Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” (Luke 2:19) I feel that this has been my response in the past week as well—contemplating why there seems to be a difference between believing a God of miracles and bearing witness to one of His miracles.
Pastor Thomas’ Report:
Tonight before going out on our outreach we spent a couple of minutes waiting on the Lord to get some clues of a possible name, physical condition or a clue of someone we might meet tonight. Michelle and Clair were teamed with me. Clair had felt the Lord speak one phrase to her “release life”. We went to St. Boniface Hospital to pray for Gord, one our leaders at Zion. As we approached the hospital we saw an older man in a wheelchair named Joseph who was open to us praying for him. He had lost one leg to diabetes and was at risk of losing the toes of his other leg. He felt a lot of pain in that leg but after we prayed the pain disappeared.
We then went inside when we saw a woman crying, so Clair went over to pray for her only to discover that the doctors had just told her that her baby had no heartbeat and was dead. Clair put her hands on the stomach of the woman whose name was Desondra. and found herself releasing life over the baby. This brought great encouragement to this woman. We don’t know the outcome yet but you could feel the hope and glory being released into the atmosphere.
We tried to find what room Gord was in when they told us that Gord had been transferred to Seven Oaks Hospital. It was encouraging to know that even when you think you’re in the wrong place you’re in the right place. We drove over to Seven Oaks to see Gord and pray for a quick recovery from an angioplasty procedure on his heart and also for his son Tim and wife Dana. We ended our evening praying for Bruce a believer who needs healing from eczema and for mobility. As Michelle prayed the verse “no weapon formed against you shall prosper” which was the song that he had been singing for the past two days. He couldn’t believe it.
Kevin’s Report
These were the ‘words of knowledge’ I wrote down before I left Zion Church to go to the streets: Adidas, 31, Orange, White trimmed top.
First, we stopped to buy some food to hand out and ran into a lady wearing a completely orange dress from top to bottom with white trim, and with sandals that clearly read ‘Adidas’ and her brother that was with her had just turned 31.
I showed her my written words and she agreed it was from God and she let us give her a prophetic word and pray over her and her brother.

Ron & Donna’s Report:
Upon arriving at Central Park we met Crystal, Israel, Sandy and Kevin who were there this evening on behalf of the Jehovah Witnesses. It was a pleasant conversation and even though we had not encountered this particular group before when we told them of KH2O they spoke of “running into some of our team members before”. The next group we spoke with were Mr. and Mrs. Shawarma. Actually, they greeted us as we passed them on a park bench. As we stopped to talk they introduced themselves and when we asked them how we could pray they proudly showed us pictures of their children in Sweden and Germany. They had just recently arrived from Syria and their English matched our ability to speak Arabic. From there we met Dawn and Brant a young couple who had just recently met on Facebook and had decided to move in together. Ron took a picture of giving Dawn the purse with the toiletry supplies (see picture below). Dawn was quite excited about the gift and we were able to pray for them. The next couples we met were Donna and Claude. They occasionally come to the park and knew of KH2O praying for people. At first they requested a “general” prayer and then Donna told us about her agoraphobia (an irrational fear of crowded spaces or enclosed public places). We spoke against it and prayed for God’s peace and love to fill her. Then she explained she was a believer and we re-assured her that “the one in her was greater than the one ion the world’ (1John 4:4). As we were leaving she told us that they would be praying us.
After a few minutes Margit came up to me with a young Aboriginal woman who was complaining of back pain. We prayed several times and eventually all the pain went away! She tested it out by moving her body in different ways. She was quite surprised that the pain was gone. We emphasized that it had been Jesus who healed her and we thanked Him. She thanked us for praying and then hurried off.
Pastor Lorraine’s Report:
Sheyenne and I had a most interesting night! First, we went to Main Street with some men’s/women’s toiletry kits to give to some people and while there we connected with a tall, very thin woman called Ursula who had been drinking. She seemed very disconnected and very confused at times, though she was able to carry on a somewhat ‘normal’ conversation and understood that we wanted to pray with her after offering her a kit. Initially, Ursula refused the offer of a kit and was quite resistant to our praying (she was in severe bondage and seemed like she wanted something, but couldn’t express what it was. We felt such compassion and love for her. Eventually we prayed, and she began to open up more and shared that she had injured her right ankle. It was obviously swollen and had a deep cut on it. She had level 6 pain. We prayed about 3X and each time the pain receded until it was almost gone. She was somewhat surprised by this.
While there we also met a lady named Diane who gladly received our prayer and ministry, and loved to pray herself, although it became clear that she had some form of dementia. We gave her a women’s toiletry kit which she gladly received and after we prayed for her (she wanted prayer for her son who needed a job), Diane introduced us to another one of her friends, Andy, but he did not wish to be prayed for so we decided to move on to Central Park.
At Central Park there was a lot of activity. A large teepee was in the park near the road and we discovered that Robert Falcon-Ouellette, a Liberal MP from Ottawa was sleeping in the teepee each night to express his concern and solidarity with the problems in Central Park in our city. I got to spend some time speaking with and engaging MP Falcon-Ouellette, blessed him and prayed for him right then and there in the park while Facebook Live rolled!
NOTE: Kingdom H2O needs your many prayers on our behalf as we do this ministry. If you are led to pray for us each week we would covet and deeply value your intercession for us and all we do. We cannot do this ministry and see the kingdom of God advance in people’s lives without this. We long for revival in our city as you do where you live and prayer is a key element to releasing what is on God’s heart to see it accomplished and the harvest brought in. Drop us a line or note if you feel led to support us in this way. Thank you! Pastor Lorraine Peladeau on behalf of all our H2O team members.
PROPHECY CORNER
I encourage you break yourself open and release what He has purposed you to do with the time given to you, all the while returning glory back to Jesus. If it is in intercession for your region, our nation, a generation, or the nations of the earth, pour it out. If it is in evangelism, pour it out. If it is in the public arena through decrees, ministering the Word of the Lord, or in song, pour it out. Pour it out to the last drop. Release His fragrance that is not only intended to fill a house, but an atmosphere beyond four walls and a roof. Be willing to be counted extravagantly foolish for the sake of His love.
