John Wimber (founder of Vineyard Ministries) often used to say that we all need three conversions: to be converted to Christ, converted to his church and converted to his cause.
There were 27 people, representing several different denominations on the street this Thursday. We had a visitor, Pastor Mike Zachman, from Seattle, Washington who will be a special guest speaker this Saturday at Kingdom H2O – see details below.
I heard several verbal reports of people being healed and saved, and below are some written reports.
Pastor Thomas’s Report:
I went onto the streets tonight with Jeremiah and began on Main Street near the Pizza Place. We began by praying for Sarah who had level 8 back pain and she said she experienced what felt like a fire all over her lower back as she was healed. She was a “backslidden” Christian and recommitted her life to the Lord.
Kevin’s team joined us as well as Dale who got video footage of a lot of healings and testimonies. We helped Kevin hand out free pizza to a group that had gathered. We also met Albert who was on his bike picking aluminum cans off the street. He said he believed in God but had never given his life to Jesus so he prayed to receive Christ.
Jeremiah prayed for Howard who had vision problems that were healed. He left but came back to find Jeremiah again to have him pray for his knee. He too did not know Jesus personally so Jeremiah had the honor and privilege of leading someone to Jesus for the first time.
From there we went down to Portage Place where other groups had gathered including Daniel, Riley, and Roger. We met up with a Muslim woman named Hessna from Morocco who let us pray a blessing on her life and family. I had previously had more resistance from her but this time she was way more open. Praise God.

Lorraine’s Report:
Ed and I were on a team. We drove to Portage Place and walked to the park. Not much happening so we walked to the mall.
Right away, as we were walking inside we encountered two women, (Norma pushing a wheelchair and Christine her grandmother sitting in it with an injured right leg in a boot cast.) We opened the doors for them and introduced ourselves, asking about Christine’s lower leg. Her pain was about a 9. We prayed and within a few minutes, she was pain-free. Norma asked if we could also pray for her right ankle and proceeded to take off her running shoe. We prayed a number of times for her ankle (it looked very bruised like she had twisted it and it was quite sore to move.) We didn’t see any noticeable improvement, but we also noted that she had been drinking or taking drugs because she could barely keep her eyes open and she was hard to understand. We asked Christine if we could help her in any way, or if she was hungry. She expressed that she would like chicken, fries and an orange drink! So Ed wheeled her to the food court while I spent a few more minutes with Norma. I ordered some food for Christine and Norma who also expressed a desire for some food. Norma was sometimes not very coherent in our conversation and all she wanted to do was to eat. A short while later, Norma ended up on the floor in the food court and the security called the paramedics to attend to her.
Later, Ed and I split up as we ministered to other people in the mall, and I decided to buy a large Thai soup bowl with noodles. As I sat down Jose came over and we had a chance to be reacquainted. I had not seen her in about 6-8 weeks as she was heavily into drinking. So we talked a bit about that. Jose is already a believer in Jesus, but not sure about her friend who came and joined us as we sat there (Linda). Other teams had already prayed and met with Linda earlier in the evening. The three of us sat at the table together eating soup together out of a communal bowl! They came and asked to share my soup so I told them to get themselves a spoon and then later gave them my soup bowl as we talked about aboriginal culture and food. Overall, we laughed and had a good time around the table as I had an opportunity to engage and love on both Jose and Linda. So love these beautiful native women, and really enjoyed our time together around the table!
Then Ed came back to our table and we prayed for Jose as she had fallen off of a swing and landed on her back earlier in the week and was in some amount of pain. After a few minutes, her pain seemed to leave completely. A few minutes later as we were leaving the Food Court Jose was almost dashing out of the building! Quite humorous actually to see this elderly woman moving so quickly with her cane in hand as she made her way towards the doors.
Trevor’s Report:
Erdman and I went to Portage Place and got some coffee at Tim Hortons. There was another guy behind me that Erdman asked if he was getting coffee and what kind. So he bought a coffee for the guy whose name was Gord. He worked in the city doing drywall and other types of housing work. He was from Moose Lake, Mb. We started talking and Erdman asked if he had any pain in his body and Gord said, “Yeah my back is in pain.” So we prayed for him 2 times and he was healed. He was blessed with a coffee and healing for his back. Erdman was telling me, “All it takes is for me to give something away and ask what their needs are in life (e.g pain, broken bones, financial problems etc).
Erdman walked up to a guy who was with his little daughter and niece and asked him if he ever gets pain from working. Dale answered, “Yes, I have knee pain and sometimes it hurts walking up and down stairs. So we both prayed for him once but nothing happened immediately. So we prayed a second time and it started getting better. After we prayed for Dale 3-5 times he was healed. He was so happy for us praying for him that he offered us both a slice of his Pizza.
Part of the mandate of this ministry is to introduce and train others so they can participate in this approach to Kingdom building. We welcome everyone, there are no denominational barriers and no age limits. It is our hope that as people gain confidence in ministering they will take what they have learned back to their own churches and communities. We welcome anyone who wants to come and observe for an evening (that’s how I started). We also encourage you to forward these weekly reports to anyone that you think may be interested in this move of God. It is worthwhile to note this style of ministry is not limited to Winnipeg as we hear reports of healing and evangelism taking place all over the world. It would appear to be a new season of God’s activity on the earth.
