“Understanding that, as a Christian, you are ‘in’ Christ Jesus revolutionises how you see yourself, your self-image, your identity and how you understand your value to God.” Nicky Gumble
Thirty Bible Buddies came out to minister this Thursday. We had an abundance of food to hand-out – sandwiches, yogurt, cookies, chips, muffins – several teams went to Main Street, and I joined them there for a short time. The first person that Kevin prayed for had blurry vision in her right eye. After a short prayer her eye sight was completely clear. Her response was, “I don’t understand what is happening here.” And of course, she was told about Jesus’ love for her. Witnessing eyes being healed is always exciting. Later at Portage Place Tatiana and I prayed for Nancy. She had arthritis in her legs and hands, she had a head injury from previous concussions, and she had been told at a very young age that she would never amount to anything. We prayed that spoken curse off of her, and freed her from that lie. We prayed for her head injury and spoke healing to any and all damage, and we prayed for her arthritis. After we prayed she said she felt a lot of heat in her body, especially in her legs. I asked her to check her legs by walking around. She said they felt much better. Later in the evening, I asked her again how her legs were doing, and she said, “just great”.
Michelle’s Report:
I met Jewels on Main Street. I offered her one of Ed’s sandwiches and yogurt. I asked Her if I could pray for her and she said I could pray for her friends then she came back to me and said I could pray for her back. Jesus healed her. I prayed for Ambers’s back and Jesus healed her. Amber also wanted prayer for her boyfriend who was two feet from her. Cheryl was another lady who asked for prayer for her back. Jesus healed her and she came back to me shortly after and asked if I would pray for her to sleep well tonight. I was chatting with Ed and Diana and was asked to pray for Chris’s back. I prayed twice and Diana prayed a third with me . Diana could feel the heat from Chris’s back and his back was healed as well.
Angela’s Report:
I just wanted to pass on to you what happened with “my group” cause I guess I was kind of on my own and didn’t officially join a group :). I met a lady named Audrey who was part of our group and we prayed for some people together. We prayed for 2 gentlemen named Larry and Owen from Island Lake I believe (about 3 hours north of Thompson). Larry’s sister was sick so he was in Winnipeg to visit her and Owen is in his first year of machinery. We prayed for Larry’s sister and Owen’s school. I offered to pray for a lady named Penny and she said she didn’t need it because she’d been prayed for 2 weeks before that she’d be able to see her son who was out of town. Apparently, she got home that night and got a phone call from her son saying he had come in to town to visit her! She was pretty happy 🙂
Next Audrey and I prayed for a woman named Sue who was an advocate for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. She turned out to be Tanya Nepinak’s aunt and said that she’d had 10 of her relatives either murdered or missing. She’s been doing a lot of work around the area we were in helping elders and young women. Audrey and I prayed for her and she was very grateful (I recognize her from being interviewed on the news).
Lastly one young lady named Olivia approached me saying she’d like some yogurt because she was really hungry. We asked to pray for her and she began to cry and shared how she was really struggling with dark thoughts and depression. She said that she’s been attacked by demons before and had been dragged down the stairs once by something she couldn’t see (her father has been into witchcraft). She also stated that she had been gang raped before and had been on drugs and alcohol. She got herself off of drugs after she saw her uncle die from Methadone overdose, but she still drinks. Audrey and I prayed God’s love over her and she just cried and cried. We asked her if she had ever asked Jesus into her heart and she said no but said she’d like to when we asked her. She prayed and asked Jesus into her heart! We counseled her some about what to do if the devil attacks her mind again. Later on Trevor and his friends and I waited until we were sure she was able to get home safe. During that time Trevor prayed for back pain she had (some people had tried to drive nails or something into her chest on her back (she showed us the scars). She said the pain was less after we prayed for her. I gave her a Bible and Trevor also had a prophetic word for her. Please pray for her! She’s so young but you could see a change in her eyes after she gave her life to Jesus 🙂
Thanks and God bless! Yahoooooo!!
Lorraine’s Report:
Last night it was with Sheila. We met just outside Portage Place. We prayed for 3-4 people in the mall. Outside the mall I met 3 friends and prayed for a young man named Wellington who was a believer, but in lots of emotional pain. After I prayed for him he felt much more encouraged even though his circumstances had not changed outwardly. He was very grieved
that he was not allowed to see his 3 children. Later, in the mall Sheila went to meet Lucas our piano player friend for a bit who was practicing at the piano, and I went to the food court and prayed for a young woman who had obviously been punched in her left eye. It was swollen and bruised. I didn’t notice an immediate result, but am believing that Jesus touched her pain and healed her.
One of the most amazing things for me was meeting up with my
friend Gelane in the mall. She was with a friend, the same older Ethiopian
man we had prayed for as a group about 2 weeks ago. He had much pain in his knees and when we prayed the pain would move from one leg to the other. He was a believer in Jesus and we
cast the unclean spirit(s) off of him and prayed for quite some time, but we didn’t notice any immediate results (at least outwardly they were not too obvious). As it turned out, Gelane told us that within the week or so the man was completely healed!! Amazing! So glad we met them in the mall last evening. She said that all his pain left and we noticed that he had more light in his face and was much more talkative. Wow!! The group of us stood there in the mall and thanked Jesus for His healing this lovely man! 🙂

Jeremiah’s Report:
All in all it was an awesome evening. Denzel, Ethan and his friends and I stuck with Gaylene for some of the evening.
The first person we spoke with was Frank who was very honest about his life. When we asked if there was anything we could pray with him for, he said that there is a lot of things that we could pray for and he just started naming things that I’m not going to take the time to name right now. he was an open door, he didn’t hide one detail about his life. our group prayed for him and we cut off the enemies power over his life.
The highlight of the evening for me was with this guy named Travis, he didn’t believe he was worth anything because of how his parents treated him and what they called him. we were just telling him that he had tremendous value, at first he didn’t buy it, he said things like “but my parents told me I was a pile of s***” we prayed for him also but he didn’t want us all to lay hands on him because it reminded him of being sold for drugs as a child. so just Gaylene put her hand on his shoulder, as we prayed all of a sudden, he looked startled and quickly darted his head backwards to look on his other shoulder and nothing was there so he shrugged and bowed his head again. when we finished praying, I asked him if he felt someone touch his shoulder, he said yes he did. my eyes were open the whole time and saw that nobody touched his shoulder. (so we all know that was Jesus who touched him.)
Additionally, when we first asked him how he was doing he said he was cold and when our group prayed for him, he had a huge grin on his face, he said “wow, I feel warm now”.
