Lorraine’s Report:
I’m guessing that there were about 20 people there last night, although we were in different pockets/groups all over the mall and in downtown Wpg at the other indoor malls/walkways. It was a slow and very quiet night for the most part. Due to the road conditions (mostly on the main bridges with some serious accidents on them), some people managed to make it to the church building, but I wasn’t able to get there until 7 p.m. It was crazy driving due to the bridges as some of us tried to get around the city and over the Red River. But God kept us safe and it all worked out in the end. Kevin arrived @ Zion a bit earlier, but he had no keys to get into the building and locked himself out of his vehicle! So he just encouraged people to head to the mall. Thanks, Kevin!! (he did get into his vehicle and showed up at Portage Place eventually.)
As I drove into downtown I noticed that there was no one at Main Street outside our usually busy place. It was completely empty!
Ed & Michelle approached me at the mall and mentioned that it was quiet and quite slow—not as many people in the mall as we expected last night! And the guards were laughing at times as they shared private stories among themselves and appeared almost casual as they walked around. Very unusual! The Food Court wasn’t shut down at 9 p.m. sharp as they always do. In fact, although the food vendors were closing up as usual, the seating area was open until at least 9:30 p.m. and people were still milling around. Ed shared with me about a man called Kirby that they met in the mall. He was from the Blood Vein Reserve. He had arthritis in his leg and his knee was in much pain. He prayed for him and Kirby’s pain was healed 100%! As well, Ed had bought some socks and was giving them away to people who needed them as he walked through the mall. Such a generous thing to do to bless many of those who live on the streets of Wpg.
Our group prayed for a woman called Linda who happened to be a believer in Jesus. She had about a level 8 pain in her lower back due to an accident. Another team had prayed for her and we offered to do the same because the pain was still there. We prayed 2-3 times but did not see any immediate change. A few of us also discerned a spirit that was attached to her in some way so we believed that the problem was spiritual, not physical. We spent some time with Linda and did not see any immediate change. We also prophesied, encouraged and loved on her for a little bit longer and eventually, she went on her way. Hopefully, we can see her again.
