#76 – Demon of Death Stalks Family

“If you are not walking on the edge – you are taking up too much room.” – Pastor Denver Kroeker

Report is early this week – My wife and I plus 15 other leaders from St. Pierre Bible Fellowship Church are off to an Empower Seminar at Southland Church in Steinbach – being refreshed in the Holy Spirit here we come.
Twenty-five Kingdom builders came out to minister this week.  Five of them met us at Portage Place where they had already started ministering earlier.  Gaylene met a person she had ministered to in the summer who thanked her for her prayer, as it had made a big difference in his life.  Erdman and Adina also met someone they had prayed for a while ago, who reported the prayer request had been answered.  A group of team members went to Siloam Mission, as we had heard that they would let people come into their building to pray for people.  We will probably send a team there each week from now on.  Several team members spent a long time talking to a regular we call ‘No Name’ because he claims he has no name (we once offered to call him President’s Choice, but he didn’t like that).  Ryan and Chelsea spent about an hour and a half talking to him.  I think every team member has tried to evangelize him at least once.   I sometimes wonder if God has sent him to give us all an apologetic work-out.  Anyway, no salvation there yet, keep praying for his soul.
At about 8:30 Adina asked me to join her, Erdman, and Gerald, as they were ministering to a Christian, named Stanley.  In the last 7 weeks, 10 members of his family have died – nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and children.  On top of that his wife had a heart attack 2 weeks ago – fortunately, she survived and is recovering.  He was an emotional mess – understandably so. – and he hadn’t been able to eat for the last 6 days.  Gerald bought him several pieces of chicken.  Through heavy sobbing, he told us parts of his story and answered our questions.  It was hard to understand all that he was saying because of his state.  As he talked I was quietly asking Jesus to guide me in ministering to this man.  I was overwhelmed by his circumstance and I really didn’t know what to do, say, or pray.  As he was describing the death of 2 of his children (suicide?) he mentioned seeing this strange tall figure in the room with glowing eyes.  To clarify, I asked if it was a person, and he said, “No! It was like a ghost or something.”  I then had a picture of it in my mind, and the Lord said to me, “It is a spirit of death, that is stalking his family, and the time he saw it, it was mocking him.”  I then told Stanley the name of the spirit he saw, and he understood and shook his head in agreement.  I then told him that as a Christian he had the authority to bind that spirit.  I could tell by the look on his face that he didn’t really know how to do that.  I suggested we all do it together- and he eagerly agreed.  He actively participated and agreed with all our prayers.  We bound the spirit of death, and cast it into the pit.  We then placed a spiritual hedge of protection over him, and all of his remaining family members.  We then prayed a blessing of restoration and complete recovery for his wife.  I asked him to meet us next Thursday.

Pastor Thomas’ Report:

This evening I was teamed up with Dylan who came out for the first time and with Tyler and later joined by Denzel.  We started on Main St. where we prayed for a few people who braved the cold windy evening.  We met Josh who was hungry so bought him some Pizza and prayed a blessing on his life.  We also prayed for Meaghan who was very open and sincere and was just entering the bar.  She asked for prayer regarding her struggle with addictions.  We then headed down to Portage Place where most of the other teams had gathered.  We had a good conversation with a man named Brian who was a former War Veteran who had fought in Afghanistan that left him with PTSD and the difficult memories of losing friends in that war.  He had been hit by a car and was in a brace and a scooter.  While he was very friendly, he refused our prayers and had to leave.  (Note from Al – I had approached the same man earlier, and asked if I could pray for him.  He said he had that covered – he had the Creator.  I said that is exactly who I am bringing to heal you.  He retorted I got it covered.  I asked if he was experiencing any healing.  He said I’m working on it, and he wheeled-off.). Next, we met up with a Liberian woman who asked that we pray that she get custody of her baby daughter, Josephine. You could see that God touched her profoundly and could see that she was a believer.  I gave her my card and asked her to contact me with the details of what happened in the upcoming court case.

We then ministered to a young aboriginal couple named Nathan and Jasmine who were open to chat about the things of God.  Jasmine opened up about her need for prayer regarding all the stress in her life.  Overall it was a quiet but engaging evening.

Lorraine’s Report:

Before H2O started, my day began with going to the hospital in Wpg for a test.  Afterward, while in the cafeteria I met a young woman called Stephanie from Sandy Lake First Nation and we struck up a conversation over lunch together.  Found out that her father was in the hospital with a serious illness and she had been in Wpg with him for the past 4 weeks.  I asked if I could pray for healing for his body.  Her mother had abandoned the family, ran away to Wpg and stayed for 2 years with little contact with her daughter.  There was a lot of hhurtsthere so I asked her if I could pray for her and her family.  Holy Spirit touched Stephanie and I was able to encourage her.  Found out she was a believer in Jesus and had stopped going to church because she was angry and hurt about the situation with her Mom.  I encouraged her to continue to plug into a church community for some support and gave her the H2O contact information.  I’m looking forward to seeing what God does and hearing from Stephanie again.
Later, in the evening, I lead a team of Ed, Diana, Michelle, and Sid.  Sid initially went with another team to Main Street for the first part of the evening and we met up with him in Portage Place later on.  Our group went to Siloam Mission to check it out and see who we could connect with there.  Ed
suggested that we drive over there.  We had a great meeting and a brief tour of their new facility.  They were welcoming of us and we asked many questions with the view of seeing if Kingdom H2O can go into the mission to help out and even minister to people there with some of our teams.  The response was very positive.  Had a chance to pray for a young leader in the building who loves Jesus named Lynelle who was pregnant with her child and blessed her.
Outside the mission, we met up with a number of guys who were waiting for a bed that night, and had a chance to minister to a man name Michael who lives on the streets, but knows his way around quite well.  We prayed with him and began to prophesy over his life which greatly encouraged and blessed him.  Later, we met others outside the building and gave away some mitts/gloves.
We drove to Portage Place where we met up with a few people and prayed for a woman names Carly outside the bus stop in front.  She had a walking boot cast on her right ankle which had been broken.  She had some discomfort and was tired from walking on it all day.  We prayed for healing for her ankle and commanded all the pain to go.  She said that she felt a bit better and
then promptly had to go catch a bus! LOL
We also prayed for a few others, and one young guy came up to me, greeted by name and said that the prayers that had been prayed over him about a few months ago were ‘working’.  LOL  He was hearing many voices in his head and said that now almost all of them are quiet!  So PTL for that!
Overall, it was a rather quiet evening for our team, but we knew that God
was working in people.
