#60 God’s Not on Vacation

Several of our regular street Ministers are on vacation, but God is not on vacation, as you will see from reports below.
A total of 17 of us were on the streets this Thursday.  Ed brought a box full of ham sandwiches, and I brought 96 bottles of water.  Some of the team members also bought and gave away slices of pizza.  Main Street wasn’t as busy or as dramatic as last week.  This week I never heard one siren, and didn’t witness any fights.
One of the highlights on Main Street for me was praying for a First Nations man who had a broken ankle.  He was wearing a plastic boot, was walking with the aid of crutches, and had level 10 pain in his foot.  Les prayed for him, and then I prayed for him, and he said, “Hey, I can move my toes, I couldn’t do that before.”  Then, after he had a sandwich Chris and Roger prayed for him, and after  a couple of prayers his pain went to zero, and he could move his whole foot around inside the boot.  He put his crutches under his arm, and walked away from us, saying, “I’ve got to go home and take off this boot.”  Team prayer is great!
My 2nd highlight happened later in the evening on a street bench between Portage Place and Central Park.  Shortly after I sat on the bench, Bruce came along and sat near me (Bruce is a guy  we had led to the Lord several months ago.  At that time he had just guy just released from Stoney, where he had been incarcerated for killing 2 people).  He was now wearing a necklace with a cross on it.  He didn’t remember me, but I reminded him of our meeting, and how he had accepted Jesus. He said that Jesus could never forgive him for what he did.  I told him it was already a done deal, he was already forgiven.  I told him that Moses had killed a man, and so had David, but God forgave them.  He said they only killed one man, but he had killed two, then he asked, “Can Jesus forgive me for killing two?”  Again, I assured him, He already had.  At that point I had a ‘word of knowledge’ that a voice in his head was telling him he couldn’t be forgiven, and that he was guilty etc.  I asked him if he had a voice in his head that was telling him these things, and he answered, “It’s the devil isn’t it?”  I assured him it was and I prayed a prayer of release for him, and then I reminded him of who he was in Christ.  About that time Lorraine came along and she also recognized him.  He also asked her if Jesus could forgive him, and she told him pretty much exactly what I had already told him.  When we left him his countenance had changed, and he had a smile.  I encouraged him to meet me again next week.  This had been his Divine appointment to receive assurance of his salvation.
Last weekend 5 of our team members went to Brandon to teach a Spanish Church how to do healing and evangelism on the streets (Tom, Kevin, Lorraine, Trevor, Erdman).  Below is a report from Lorraine on what that looked like.  There is a lot of detail, but it will give you a great overview of what this training looks like, and how God is in it.

Highlights of Brandon trip:
The people in the Spanish Church there were very hungry for more of God! They were very grateful we were there and they were a real blessing to all of us!
We taught on Our identity in Jesus, Practical Guidelines for Street Ministry, and the 5 Love Languages to Communicate Love to Others, also preached on Ezekiel 37:1-14, “You are God’s Answer to the Dry Bones of Brandon!”.  Friday night:  Went for supper.  Later, out on the streets in downtown Brandon near a gas bar and hotel/bar/park.  A lady drove up in a small car.  Called her over; “Come over here and you’ll see a miracle.”  Turns out she was known by some in the church!  And she had level 8 pain in her right leg from the heel up.  After we prayed the pain went down to a 2.  Suddenly, she had to leave to take the car back to her friend. She was not completely healed, but spoke that it would be.
We also met an Aboriginal couple outside the bar.  A team member named Brian did his card tricks. They were blown away.  Ministered to the man and woman.  Woman began to cry and share her story of loss.  Hugged and loved on her.  Tried to lead her to the Lord.  She said no, she wasn’t ready, but understood God’s love.
Meanwhile Kevin and a group were in a park:  Blind eye/impaired vision healed as one of the Spanish church women put her hand on the eyes.  She was shocked as the woman was healed.  Saturday:  We broke into 5 teams with members of the church; some went to park, McDonald’s, the Mall, Downtown Brandon.
Healings:  Isabelle:  Young woman with her two friends in mall; pain in knees and could not touch toes/bend over; Level 6 at times.  Prayed.  Asked her to do something she couldn’t do before.  She bent over to touch toes and could put her hands on the floor with no pain.  All gone!  Led her to the Lord.  PTL!!  Her friend (Mia) was a Christian.  Asked for prayer for her mind because she was forgetful.  Met a family:  Dad, Mom, future daughter-in-law and her young daughter.  Man had condition that he had lost his middle toe.  Was healing, but no disability $’s coming in.  Very difficult situation financially.  Prayed for provision for them.  Loved on them.  Suddenly had a word of knowledge of a headache on right side temple.  Turns out the mom had a headache.  Prayed.  Pain went immediately.  Daughter-in-law (Briana) shared that she was a Christian years ago, but not following now.  Prophesied and encouraged her.  Gave the family some $’s and man was overwhelmed, tears, grateful.  Also gave him a Toonie and told him to find someone else in need and give it away to bless another and sow a seed of faith.  Said he would.
We also gave out food, flowers, and chocolates to women as we went.  Corinne:  Prophesied over her with words of knowledge Young man (Keith?):  Prayed for back pain; all gone!

Man with poor eyes:  Prayed, some improvement, but not completely healed (yet)
Four young people:  Prayed for and healed in McDonald’s
Francisco:  Pain in knee; he felt it heal; pain gone
Johnny:  Young man with metal in shoulder from surgery; in pain.  Prayed and pain gone!
The team praying for Johnny attracted a crowd around them.
Prayed for young people in the park again.  Young man with pain in back.
Prayed, and saw slow improvement in his pain; could move his back better and as God healed it his face began to change as Spirit of God came upon him. Felt better!
Some were on drugs; prayed for God to love on them and change their hearts, heal their lives.
Woman with knee pain:  Pain left!
Man in wheelchair:  Prayed for him.  Did not see him walk (yet!)
Woman at the mall:  She had knee pain; declared pain gone, loved on her and pain left her body.
Dallas(?):  Hip pain due to arthritis condition.  Pain gone!
Woman with cast on hand (Loretta):  Prayed and she felt deep love of Jesus–extremely deep love; peace came on her as she felt the love of God.
A man with a lump on his leg.  Prayed and the lump went away.
Gave food to a man sitting on the ground.
Kelly:  Wanted prayer for his family.  Prayed and blessed him.

One of the women in the Spanish church had a dream about the Mall in Brandon!  She said that she felt fire in her chest and God spoke to her!
God began to move on the people in the Spanish church and some cried and were deeply moved by seeing the love of God as the H2O team leaders prayed and ministered to those they met.  Many did things that they have never done before in their lives!  Lots of fear, but they went to learn and watch and saw the Spirit of God moving on people at times.  They were getting some words of knowledge for the first time and seeing the miraculous (they’ve
never seen these things before!)  One of the members met a man with back pain on his left side.  He got a word of knowledge and was led to pray by a
leader.  All pain left.  He teared up when thinking of the goodness of God! Many in the church were very surprised by the deep love and mercy of God,
and saw joy and the miraculous!  A few came from another church!  Many commented that they could literally feel the strong presence of the Spirit
of God!   God does confirm His Word through signs and wonders! 🙂
