#66 – Healing Touch Rattles Folks

#66 – Healing Touch Rattles Folks

Kingdom H2O Outreach Ministry – Thursday, September 14, 2017 by Al Bayne
“Although we have been saved from the penalty of sin and we are being saved from the power of sin, we are still anticipating an even greater future freedom from the presence of sin.” Nicky Gumble
Twenty-three people showed-up to minister this Thursday.  Some took sandwiches and water to Main Street, others of us went to Portage Place.  It was a cool dark evening so no one went to Central Park.  Of the people I visited with and prayed for, two stand out.  One was Willard, a sober First Nations man, who was a forest fire evacuee from Poplar River.  He said he was a backslidden Christian and he wanted to be touched by God again.  As we prayed for him his wife joined us, God touched him, and we all celebrated his renewed faith.  Another person, Leon had asked us for prayer for his mother, who was waiting for a medical appointment for her leg.  We prayed for her.  As we talked to him I noticed he couldn’t hear out of his right ear.  After getting permission, I placed my hand on his deaf ear and commanded healing.  Immediately he could hear a little better.  I prayed again, and his hearing improved more.  After a third time, Gaylene whispered from a distance on his deaf side, and he could hear her.  At this point, he seemed a little rattled and appeared to be shocked by what just happened.  He said my mother’s waiting, I have to go, and he hurried away.
Pastor Thomas’ Report:
For our outreach, I was teamed up with Orlando, Bruce, Jackie and Audrey.  We went straight down to Portage Place and parked on Portage Ave.  Where we had parked, immediately in front of us, were 6 aboriginal people from Northern Sask, Man, and Ontario.  We asked who needed healing prayer and 5 of them put up their hands so we all spread out and took our time listening to their painful stories of abuse and hardship. Overall we spend close to 45 minutes with them.  Orlando and I prayed for Larissa from Red Sucker Lake who months ago had been beaten by her husband so bad that both her legs were broken and a few of her ribs and was in rehab for complete healing.  She said she had level 8 pain.   I asked Orlando to lay hands on her legs and she felt a heat go into her body.  She explained that it as a warm numbness that took all the pain away.  She was so happy and grateful and was able to walk normally without any pain.  For Orlando who came out for the first time, this was his first miracle.  Jackie and Audrey prayed for Ann who had back pain which was also healed and she came over to testify to us what God had done.  We also prayed for Sharon who needed healing from a 4 x 4 accident that left her in a wheelchair.  She tried standing and was able to move her leg more than she had ever had been able before.  When we went into Portage Place we were able to minister to others including Jaime, a Guatemalan who had just been in a fight.     We also prayed for Dennis, an aboriginal man who asked for prayer for his “hopeless life” as he was fighting for custody for 3 of his six kids which we prayed for.  He grew up in a Christian home but had lost his way.  We were able to encourage him and break off some of the lies of Satan over his life.  We also prayed for a couple who were displaced from the fire and smoke from their community in Island Lakes.  Overall it was a rewarding evening.
Jeremiah’s report:
This week I was with Lorraine, Brahm, Claire, and Cheyenne. Take a look at Lorraine’s report below to get an overview of the whole evening. There’s just a little snid bit that she wasn’t there for so I’ll add that in.
We talked to Ryan who spoke with Lorraine and others last week, Ryan told us that he heard voices and he received prayer. So this week we asked him how he’s been doing, he told us when the voices came again he just told them to shut up and they have been quieter since then. We prayed for him again this week and he experienced warmth throughout his body and comfort.
I am super excited for Jesus to show up again next week!!!
Lorraine’s Report:

My team was made up of Clair, Sheyenne, Brahm, and Jeremiah.  We had an incredible evening!  Absolutely amazing.  [As a leader I didn’t feel like I needed to do much of anything by way of leading—the team just stepped up and the level of boldness and passion just started pouring out of them.  I think their faith went from 0 to 60 in five seconds!  It was a privilege and honour to watch the Lord move in and through them like that!  Way to go team.  You’re incredible in the way you love people and step out.]

Just as we parked on Ellice and got out of our vehicles, a man and woman arrived.  The husband was Adrian and his wife was Darlene.  Darlene was in a wheelchair holding a power drink, and both had been drinking.  The woman’s leg was broken or seriously damaged, although she had no cast on, due to an accident where she was hit by a vehicle.  Her right arm had also been seriously damaged.  Jeremiah, bless his heart, boldly approached her and asked her if she was in any pain.  She replied that her left leg was in pain and she could not walk (thus the wheelchair).  She was in about a 8 out of 10 pain.  Jeremiah prayed for her leg and gently laid his hand on her damaged, hurting leg.  He commanded all pain to leave.  Then stepped back and asked her how she felt.  She said that the pain had immediately gone down!  Then he prayed again and the pain left!  Our group began to pray for complete healing and suddenly she decided to try it out and pushed herself up from the wheelchair.  And then she began to slowly walk around, absolutely in shock (and so were we to be honest as it was just that quick!)

As she walked around her wheelchair on the sidewalk her husband stood there in some amount of shock.  She kept saying over and over again, “I’m (expletive swear word) walking honey!”  “Look I’m (bleepin) walking!!”  And she just kept walking in a circle and back and forth (slowly at first, but obviously using her damaged leg), and she would keep crying out that she could walk now and was absolutely over the moon with joy!  We actually attracted a crowd for a bit.  Anyway, Darlene went and sat down and we prayed for her right arm and the pain left.  As she sat there another younger man and his girlfriend walked by and we told them what had just happened to Darlene.  He was a bit ticked with us and told us to leave her alone, but then we explained that we had just prayed for her and God healed her of her broken, damaged leg and she could now walk.  So Darlene stood up and got out of the wheelchair again and he just freaked out and ran away he was so startled!  We tried to call him back and he was too shocked and afraid.  Then we prayed for Adrian, Darlene’s husband.  As it turns out he was a believer and so we asked if we could pray for his alcoholism.  He was so ready to be done with that demon in his life.  We prayed and there was some deliverance that happened right then and there on the sidewalk as his eyes moved and he started to show the manifestation of some unclean spirits.  So we broke them off in the name of Jesus, and then we asked him if we could pray that God would fill him.  He agreed to let us pray again.  We prayed for the Spirit of God to come and fill Adrian.  Suddenly he started to slowly fall down onto the sidewalk!  He couldn’t stand and tell us it felt like electricity was running from his head down his body.  We told him that was the Holy Spirit filling him.  He was totally overcome by the manifest presence of God.

Later, we moved over to Portage Place filled with joy at what God had just done.  It felt like the book of Acts with the disciples walking together down the road healing and blessing people.  We had a number of other encounters, but what I remember is a man called Tagen who needed healing for his left knee.  As we prayed the pain moved to his right knee, and then to both knees.  As it turned out this was caused by a demon(s) and so we switched from commanding healing prayers to commanding the enemy to leave him.  As we prayed his pain level (which was about a 9 initially), increased in his knees.  So we changed our strategy and began to deal with some demonic manifestations and there was some freedom, but not completely.  Sometimes this happens because there’s more to be done and God works in stages to heal people of demonic affliction because He loves them and wants to do it that way for their sake.  So we ended up with about 8 or so people there in the mall praying for this sweet, quiet man. Alyssa led him to the Lord right there in the mall and we noticed a big shift, although we don’t think he was totally free.

Next, we prayed for Gelani because she was so hungry for more of Jesus in her life (she is a strong believer), and God began to fill her with his love and presence.  As that happened suddenly many words of prophecy were released!  And she was standing there taking Him in and smiling the whole time!  Not sure who got blessed more there:  Gelani or us who prayed for her at the time.  It was awesomeness being in His presence!!

Michelle’s Report:

I was in Ed’s group.  Towards the end of the night on main street I met Mary I had just given her and two others bottles of water.  She looked at me and thanked me for what I was doing.  I came to her and asked if I could pray for her, she said yes.  She shared that she lost twins and she was staying at the Yale hotel waiting for answers.  There wasn’t an autopsy being performed.  She mentioned she knew Jesus once but had fallen away.  At first, I was so stunned with her sharing the loss of her twins with me.  I hugged her,  I did this several times letting her know how Jesus loves her and has his arms wide open for her.  I prayed for her what was in my heart.  I was able to give a card about H2O and asked her to consider calling at Zion.  So many live with condemnation feeling they are not good enough to seek Jesus. I was thankful I could let her know Jesus knew about her and loves her just as much now as when she first came to know Him.
