Mark Twain quipped, ‘To do what is right is wonderful. To teach what is right is even more wonderful – and much easier.’
Forty people gathered to take Jesus’ love to the streets this week. There was a real ‘buzz’ in the air as we met to form teams at Zion, everyone sensed it, and we were expecting a night full of salvations and healing. As you will see from all the reports below that is exactly what happened. I left the church a little late, and on my way to Portage Place I drove by our team members who were already on Main Street, and I saw a large crowd of street people mingling with them.
The highlight for me was talking to the four new people at the end of the evening. They were, of course, a little nervous, and not sure what to expect at the start, but they were wide-eyed with wonderment in the end. We put them on a team with Kevin, and they ministered on the streets around Portage Place. Some of what they experienced was a deaf ear being healed, and a lady being spiritually set free, and her back is healed. Some very ‘pumped’ first-time street Ministers. There is nothing like witnessing a miracle.
Diana’s report:
What a wonderful atmosphere on Main Street Thursday evening! Ed pulled out a table and we handed out coffee, water, and muffins. It felt like a block party. Of course, there were sad stories and challenging situations that we got to pray for with the people but it was also a time of fellowship that was very sweet. I personally got to connect with many people and re-connect with a lady who I haven’t seen in a few years.
Pastor Thomases’ Report:
For our outreach, I was teamed up with Tyler and we went to Main St. where there were so many people. We spoke with and prayed with many including a group of young people named Austin, Nicolas, Marcus, Summer and another one who was a self-proclaimed Satanist. Marcus opened up to receive prayer and gave his heart to Jesus. We also prayed for Danny who had level 9 pain in his right ankle which dropped to a 3 and then disappeared. We then went to Turtle Island to pray for Walter who we had ministered to a few months ago and when he had tried to commit suicide. He was in much better spirits and welcomed prayer. We ended up in Portage Place where we ministered to people in the food court. I prayed with Sandra who was very confused and upset. After prayer she felt the love of God fill her. She desperately wanted my card which I had run out of but she gave me her number to follow up later. Lots of power and excitement tonight.
Jeremiah’s Report:
I had fun last night. My team, Jeremiah Vega, Denzel, Jackie, and I. We Went straight to Portage Place Mall and we stayed there the entire evening.
We spoke with Gaylene for about thirty seconds and someone who she knew pulled up in his scooter. His name was John and he had MS, it seemed to me that he had been believing for healing for a long time already. When we prayed for him, Jeremiah Vega felt like getting John to walk. So John carefully got out of his scooter and walked with the help of Jeremiah and Denzel. We didn’t see any healing yet so keep him in your prayers.
At this point in the night, Jackie was left behind with Gaylene for a bit.
I came to the conclusion that everybody needs Jesus (Ain’t that a discovery.) – so basically everyone deserves a chance to meet with him. Our team decided whoever is closest to us, we would go talk to them. It was kind of fun, we spoke with a lot of people but my highlight was with Ernest, as we spoke with him he told us he was a Christian who goes to church. We prayed a general blessing over him and his life. He asked if he could take a selfie with us. He said, ” I’m definitely going to share this”.
We also spoke with Rob whom I talk to every week and he struggles with guilt. Jeremiah V. got multiple prophecies for him and we just encouraged him that he is a hundred percent forgiven.

Lani’s Report:
Hi there, met with Gaylene, headed to Central Park ran into Georgina, asked if she wanted prayer, prayed for her son & for protection for her as she’s homeless, also prayed for hope & destiny over her, her son and her extended family, she began wailing as Holy Spirit softened her heart, and as all the hurt & violence was breaking off her . We helped her pray the sinner’s prayer for salvation.
We headed to the picnic tables in the back of the park. Some people there were very drunk and started saying not nice stuff so we moved on, sensing it wasn’t wise to engage them.
We went to the next table, where there were a couple and another guy. Amy was the girl and I believe Bill was the name of a friend, don’t know boyfriends name. We began to pray for where they were from which had suicide that was happening there, and we proclaimed in authority life over their homelands and over their lives, and began to testify about who they are and just talking about Gods hope and they all began to openly cry,the guy & couple were just cry ing there as Holy Spirit melted them & ministered to them. There was such a tenderness of Holy Spirit over them. At that moment 2 ladies came and created a distraction. The Lord said He needed these 3 and that’s why those 2 came to distract. We just gently persisted in kindness and the three maybe even 4 gave their hearts to Jesus! Praise God!
We prayed with Gaylene for a man in a kilt who had obvious mental & other trauma issues he began to soften and we invited him for a new start with Jesus. He said not now.
Lastly, we ran into a lady Rosie who was leaning against the wall in so much pain, we prayed and didn’t see a huge improvement, Leticia rubbed her back even while praying (with permission of course). I asked her for the diagnosis because we didn’t know what we were dealing with, she said it was cancer & liver cirrhosis & lymph node/thyroid issues.
We prayed more and security guards began telling others to leave so we got the clue and moved on without being told to do so. We kept ministering peace to her. Gaylene went to get her car to take her home instead of the bus. We dropped her and have her number for follow-up, she knows the Lord, please keep her in prayer. What an awesome night.
Iris’ Report:
There was a definite buzz in the air yesterday as we met at Zion. Many of us started on Main Street handing out coffee, muffins, water, candy bars. There were many people on Main street and a lot of activity all around.
My highlights:
Sharon had a broken arm from being hit by a car a few days ago. She was in 12 out of 10 pain, and seemed in a daze, worrying about her kids. She was related to Cody, the young man who had been hit by a car and killed recently. Someone had stolen her painkillers, and she was reluctant to have us pray but kept hanging around us for about 15 minutes, and eventually let us pray. She seemed less confused as she left, and about an hour later I glanced up and saw her leaning on man on a bicycle who was getting prayed for by another member of our group. That was good to see, and as there were so many of us out on Main street yesterday, I am sure she was loved and prayed for and encountered God’s love.
Kathryn was walking around selling plush toys, and we asked her if we could pray for her. She immediately looked for a picture of her daughter Jasmine, who had run away from foster care three days ago. There have been sightings of her, ie her mom knows she has been viewing social media, but Kathy’s mom heart wants her child to come home. We listened as Kathy told us much of her story of being on the streets, being loved on and ministered to by ladies from the Vineyard church in Vancouver, coming to Jesus, and her three kids in foster care that she loves and worries about, she has been clean for about 125 days. She has poor vision and we prayed for her eyes to see. Lorraine got a word of knowledge about trauma, and Kathy told us about being kicked on the streets with steel-toed shoes. Her sight did not change immediately, but she was loved and ministered to and her face was so different as she left.
Drive by Prayer: As Jackie, Suzanne and I were on the way to Portage Place I saw a lady with her whole body bent to the left side walking towards Giant Tiger. I felt that we needed to pray for her, and we quickly found a parking spot, waited for the red light to change, and by that time the lady had walked into Giant tiger, so we followed her inside. Rosie immediately said yes when we asked her if we could pray. We prayed for her back to straighten up, saw no visible sign that anything changed. You could tell she loved God and she called him the “Big Man”. She was visibly touched that we had come inside just for her, and that touched our hearts as well. She proudly showed us a picture of her 8-year-old son Ethan.

Trevor’s Report:
I went to Main Street with Dylan, Darrell, Clair and her daughter Sheyenne. We were surrounded by other groups that joined us on Main street. Dylan and Darrell met a guy who had a cast on his finger and I had a picture of the guy’s finger having been cut to the bone and I asked him if the cut hit the bone and he said: “Yes, it has.” By the way his finger got healed. We also gave him Pizza, 6 bottled waters and chocolate bars to bring home to his family and he was really happy.
I also had a picture for a woman’s back is in so much pain. So I found the woman who had the pain and I asked her if she had back pain and she did. So I put my hand on her back and immediately the pain is gone and she was really happy of course.
After that, we headed over to Central Park and we saw something happening at the Catholic church across from the park so we head over there. As we were heading over to the church we were introduced by a person who had a demon and he had a weapon in his hand and he was drunk as well. He was swinging this rusted bar around and his brothers were there as well and he got stopped by his brothers saying that we were there to pray for them and so then we gave him a bottled water and he was shocked and he said: “Why are you doing this for me?” I said to him “We are here to Love you and show love to you because Jesus would do the same as well.” He was just shocked and surprised because of that. We also gave him a hug and this guy was also in a fight before we met him and he had blood on his face and his hand. So we just showed love and shared Jesus with him. He also forgave the people who beat him up and just teared up and asked God for forgiveness.
After that, we saw a leg grow out about a Centimeter. I also prayed over a guy who had pain in his back and he got healed and his girlfriend had migraine headaches and she also got healed. It was just incredible for what Jesus was doing. Have a Great Week Everyone!! 😃
