#82 – Goodbye Double Vision and Goodbye Wheelchair

Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit’s presence, and how to follow His lead will enable us to do the works of Christ, destroying the works of the devil. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this gospel of power once again.” – Bill Johnson
Thirty-four team members came out this very cold Thursday (First-timer Roger, came all the way from Portage La Prairie).  Even with our large numbers and a not very full Mall we all seemed to be busy ministering.  I was nearby when a lady approache,d another team and asked if they were the people who prayed, and once assured she shared her needs, and the team spent a long time praying for her.  It is becoming more frequent that people approach us.  My highlight is praying for a Northern Manitoba Pastor named Axel who was healed of his double vision – see details in Iris’ report below.  Another highlight was talking to a lady who was healed, by one of our teams, of severe arthritis and no longer needs her wheelchair – see Lorraine’s Report and a photo of her below.
Iris’ Report:
My team of Adina, Denzel, Haley and I approached a man sitting by himself in the food court and asked him if we could pray for him. He invited us to sit down and said he was a Pastor from Beren’s River, had been a believer for 38  years and was in town for appointments for his left eye, as he was not seeing properly. I prayed for him, putting my hand on his right eye. After praying for him, he told me that it was his left eye eye that needed prayer (the other left..ok :-).) I prayed for his eye and he said it had improved. Afterwards, I saw Al and asked him to go pray for Axel as well. Love the teamwork.
(  Al’s Comments – Iris told me about Axel’s eye, and said she thought we weren’t finished praying.  I approached him, and after talking about Pastoring for a bit I asked about his eye-site.  He said he was told he had a bubble in his eye and that caused him to have trouble with his vision.  He further told me that when Iris prayed his vision improved a little, and he also just felt better overall.  I asked if we could pray again and he agreed.  Trevor was nearby, and I asked him to join me as my team was ministering to others.  I placed my hand over his eye and commanded the bubble to go, and for his eye-site to be totally restored.  When I took my hand off he looked around and said it was better.  I asked him what changed?  He answered well before when I looked at you there was 2 of you, and now there is only 1.  We celebrated his healing, and I moved on.  Trevor stayed with him and visited for awhile, and Axel confirmed to him, as he looked around the mall, that all his double vision was gone. )
Our team then chatted with a lady who was upset with us thinking we could come in and solve people’s hurts and pains. We listened to her and tried to connect, but eventually found we couldn’t. It was a tougher encounter, and there was some truth of course in her words, and a history of hurt and pain.  Praying she saw love anyway through our interaction.
Later on I saw Geraldine wiping tears and asked her why. She said she had just witnessed and been part of a miracle, of a lady being healed from Arthritis. We wanted to video her, and so I sat down with her and asked her if she would be open to recording her story of the healing. She said no, and that was fine. I kept sitting there with her and her daughter Karen who was sitting in the no longer needed wheelchair, and noticed the healed lady, Lucy, kept wiping tears. Diana came over and Karen pointed out that Diana was powerful. Diana said no, it’s Jesus who healed. After a few back and forth comments, the lady who was healed said: no, it was Jesus.”
Karen shared her story with me of a history of pain and abuse, even though she had forgiven her abusers, the thoughts and memories were still there. My heart broke for her and her walking through things she should never have had to, and prayed for her.

Pastor Erin’s Report:
It was good to be out. I was teamed-up with Brahm, Sheyenne, and Claire.  I’m not aggressive in my approach of people. Brahm was active in going up to everyone. I like to move in and do the ministry part… the one lady I ministered to was Sandra. Not sure if she was homeless but the guy she was with was trying to sleep on the floor. We met them in a skywalk.  Brahm noticed she had a cast so he asked if we could pray for her. When she said she had just broken her hand in 3 places 2 days ago, I moved in and prayed for her. She asked why we would pray for her and we said because Jesus loves her. She kept asking why,  because she’s a sinner. I started praying over her about the Fathers love to minister to her and then she broke down crying and says her dad died and then her best friend was pulled off life support in front of her just recently.  She was traumatized by the memories playing in her mind. She was so broken and sad, wasn’t in a place to receive truth but I kept speaking it to her and tried to answer any of her questions. I hugged her as she sobbed in my arms. I told her I understood the pain of loss as my best friend died in 2016.  She was blaming God and I kept saying God didn’t make her die. Sandra just needed a safe place to vent and share her broken heart. I also prayed for her at different points during my sleep last night. I know she is so deeply sad and broken but I believe God deposited seeds into her.

Kenisha’s Report:
I was in Loraine’s group.  Despite the frigid cold, our group ministered to the line up awaiting beds at Siloam Mission.   We were able to bless folks with fresh baked cookies, hot chocolate, and winter gear.  In the lineup,  Kiera and I met a lovely lady, who we can call  Lady P (I don’t remember her name I think she may have been reluctant in sharing her name with us).  We asked Lady P if she wanted prayer and she joked about it but didn’t request anything in particular.  Lady P shared that she was a believer but didn’t want to be classified as a Christian because she felt she was a “sinner” (Kiera and I shared with her that we were all sinners yet we are saved through the grace of God. However, Kiera explained that she felt she could not be considered a Christian because Christians are expected live a certain way).  Lady P shared a few inspirational testimonies where she experienced the love and faithfulness of God.  Lady P also shared how she was miraculously healed in the past when Christians at Portage Place (possibly one of our Kingdom H20 Teams) had prayed for her and she witnessed one of her legs that was shorter than the other grow to full length!  Lady P also shared that she had diabetes but didn’t want prayer (I still prayed for her in my mind).  Lady P is an influential woman ( she is a light at Siloam Mission).  We thanked Lady P for sharing her heart with us and affirmed her gifts as a wise teacher and engaging speaker.
At Portage Place, we were blessed by a Sanctuary House of Prayer (SHOP) member worshiping on the public piano by the “large clock area”, which reminded me of a recurrent vision I have been receiving for the last few years of a worship team worshiping in the same area.  I shared the vision with Loraine and she encouraged me to pray for the SHOP member, so I did. In the food court, I encountered a lady who I will call Chris (in order to respect her confidentiality) who I gave a pair of gloves and asked if she wanted prayer.  Chris wasn’t sure about the prayer. Chris and I continued to chat and she shared that she had been robbed, abandoned by a friend, and was hoping to return to her reserve near Dauphin.  Chris shared she was in Winnipeg for medical reasons and she had not eaten that day so I purchased her a meal of her choice and during her meal we prayed for her and her children (and other topics as lead by the Holy Spirit). Later in our conversation, Chris revealed that she had had ovarian cancer so I asked Kiera to join me in prayer for healing for Chris (with Chris’s consent). Chris shared that she did not attend church in Winnipeg so I provided Chris with Loraine’s Kingdom H20’s business card so that she could connect with Zion Church.  Moreover, I provided Chris with my phone number just in case she needed a friend to visit her during her hospital visits because she expressed that she felt lonely sometimes (I’m believing that she is healed in Jesus name!).
Lorraine’s Report:

Okay, this was a very busy, crazy, God appointed night for our team(s).  Lots happened all over the place!  I actually ended up with at least 6 plus people on my team, often split into two or three teams at different times! LOL  [Weird things happen sometimes on the streets and so you just have to roll with it!  But so thankful for each person on the teams—they just seem to flow together so well very often and God really brought a strong unity tonight!]  Anyway, lots happened tonight and here are some of the highlights.

Went to Siloam Mission first.  Very, very cold out.  We offered homemade cookies (thanks Erin!!) to those standing in line who were shivering in the cold, waiting for the building to open to get a warm bed for the night.  We spoke to almost everyone there, which was about 20 plus people.  No one would leave the line of course, because that would mean they would possibly have to give up their bed for the night as there are only limited spaces.  One of our team members bought a large jug of Tim Horton’s hot chocolate which they handed out to very willing people along with the cookies.  Some of us prayed for some of the people lined up, and since we know many of them now from seeing them for the past month or more, we engaged in conversations to hang out for a bit.  Prayed for Joe, a gentleman who had a stroke and his left hand was not very useful.  We also found out that he had diabetes so we prayed for that to come off of his body.  I shared with a testimony of a woman we saw about two years ago in the park who had a stroke and could not use her right side.  God healed her!  Wanted to encourage Joe to believe for more because with God all things are possible.  We prayed and visited with Belinda for a job decision, Al who was still on crutches but was very warmly greeting us this time and seemed glad we were there to speak with him.  Prayed for an aboriginal woman who mocked us, but we just kept lovingly responding to her anyway.  A few others received our prayers for them in spite of the cold.

Went to Portage Place for 8 p.m.  Prayed for Alma, a believer, who had fallen on hard times and had gum and back problems.  The team never noticed an immediate change, but sometimes this happens and we find out later that God has healed them.  As we walked into the mall we engaged a young woman sitting there who refused our prayer offer, and a team member was sitting at the piano playing Christian worship music right in the mall! Awesome!  We stopped and met with aboriginal people.  Two of them refused our prayer and one simply asked for money, while the third woman, Pam, really appreciated our offer of prayer.  She had a rotator cuff/shoulder injury and she was possibly going to need surgery.  She was on some medication for the pain, but she still had some pain. We prayed for the injury and the pain.  The pain wasn’t as strong, but we didn’t see clear noticeable healing at that time, although Pam was grateful and we made a new friend.  Later, we met up with some others on our team and met Rosa.  Initially when we asked her if we could pray for her, she refused, but then the Lord gave me a word of knowledge about her situation and she began to weep.  And then we asked again and she agreed to prayer as she cried right there in the mall.  She had lost many members of her family over a period of time, who had all died premature deaths.  She was grieved and downcast, with no peace about this.  So we prayed for peace to come (which He did!), broke off any curse of death on the family and herself, and then she told us she had a stomach affliction.  So we prayed that off of her too and she seemed quite different afterwards!  No more pain, no more discomfort and she was at peace, even happy.  The spirit of heaviness left!  Yeah Jesus!  Later on, one of the team members told me an amazing story of miraculous healing which I will share here:

They met a woman, Lucy, who had serious pain from arthritis and was in a wheelchair.  The team prayed for her and she was totally healed almost instantly!  And she got out of her wheelchair right then and there in the mall!!  In fact, when I saw her (as they pointed her out to me), Lucy was actually sitting eating some food in a food court chair!!  And her daughter, Karen was using her wheelchair to sit in instead of her mother! LOL  After they prayed for Lucy, the team found out she was a born again believer.  And Lucy suddenly began to prophesy over one of the team members!  This blessed them so much that they began to cry because of the Word that was released (which was bang on by the way), and they were deeply touched by the love of God from this woman they had just prayed healing for!  Wow!!  Thank You Jesus, for Your amazing love and goodness!!
