#83 – Healing, Salvations, and Demons

“Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit’s presence, and how to follow His lead will enable us to do the works of Christ, destroying the works of the devil. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this gospel of power once again.” – Bill Johnson
Twenty-six ministers showed-up this week.  We received prophetic words before we left that we could expect an action filled night and it was.  Healing, salvation, attempted stabbing, and demonic manifestations are some of the stories below.   This is the 2nd week in a row that we have had someone healed who no longer needs a wheelchair.
My highlight was praying for Brad, the brother of the Pastor who had his eye healed last week.  Brad was walking with a ‘walker’ which I hadn’t noticed last week.  He said he had 7/10 pain in his right knee.  He was resistant to prayer at first but then agreed.  Daniel led the healing time.  Each time he prayed the pain dropped from 7 to 5 to 0.  Thank you, Lord!
When we first arrived at Portage Place we were greeted by 3 First Nations men from Pukatawagan.  They said some people had given them hats, gloves, and scarves (probably some of our team members), but they needed money for food.  I took them to A&W and bought them hamburgers and fries.  While they were eating I visited with some of the mall regulars.  Later on, I talked to one of the 3 that had a blind eye.  He told me that he had been stabbed in his eye.  I asked if we could pray and he reluctantly agreed.  We would pray and ask him to check, but he had no eye site improvement.  After the 3rd time, he said that was enough.  I asked him why he wanted us to quit.  He said because all we were doing was reminding him of the incident and he was getting very p—off, so we stopped persisting and let him go.
A regular named No Name, who is very anti-Christian, became very agitated and yelled at Ryan all kinds of names, insults, and expletives.  We have seen this anger manifest in him in the past, but it is definitely getting more intense.  I suspect we are dealing with one or more very frustrated demons, and their agitation is a good sign because they know their end is near.
Jeremiah’s Report:
Wow! lots of action at portage place mall this week.
Even though I only saw with my eyes one partial healing, there was a lot of stuff happening in the spirit realm. I was with Jeremiah Vega for most of the time.
We found someone named David who might have cancer in his thyroid (and if he does, he has about a year left to live) and his neck was really thick, he said it was hard to swallow. Jeremiah Vega and I prayed three times and we didn’t see any change. Jeremiah also led him into the sinner’s prayer.
Jeremiah Vega, bold as a lion as I never would’ve done this, approached one of the security guards who was an atheist (and has obviously done his research)  and started telling us all the reasons why Christianity is wrong.  I just wanted to get out of the conversation as soon as possible because he was planting doubt, which I do not need.
When he was done talking and after he left, No Name came up to me and said,  “Well I guess that little bible of yours isn’t true after all.  I looked at him and said, “You realize nothing he said was true.”
And he went on about how Christianity was bad and I told him there are millions of people benefiting from Jesus and I told him that Jesus is the answers to all your problems. He told me that we didn’t have any evidence just our faith.  I told him that my faith is better than any evidence you can throw at me. and that really made him mad.  He asked me a question which I did not hear, (and to be honest I probably didn’t know the answer) he then told me to f***** read my bible! then he stormed off.
Also prayed for another guy who was walking with crutches, and when I prayed, over half the pain left and he was very pleased.
Daniel’s Report:
Riley, Ryan, Sid, and Denzel, went to Portage place to pray for people.  We got there and saw a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair. Upon inquiry, she revealed she had recently had knee surgery and had 7/10 pain. She allowed us to pray, and after 3 prayers she said the pain was gone.  I asked if she would like to try walking and she said yes, so we helped her stand up out of her wheelchair and she began walking around pain free. We could tell her leg was still stiff so we prayed for the stiffness to go and it did. She began walking around normally, pain and stiffness free! She thanked us and praised God and ended up pushing her own wheelchair out of the mall! Ryan got her testimony on video as well.  (Video should be on website in a week or so)
We saw another man in a wheelchair who’d been in a car accident 16 years earlier. He said he had constant pain, which was currently 10/10. We prayed once and all the pain left, he couldn’t find it! We asked him to try standing but he didn’t seem interested so we left it.  We gave him some money for groceries and pushed him at his request to the bus stop.  Although he didn’t get out of the wheelchair, he did experience total relief from pain which had been haunting him for a long time. Praise Jesus!
Sid’s Report:
Thursday night was pretty intense this week, I was in Daniel’s team with Denzel, Ryan, and Riley. To start off, before we even entered the mall we found a visa with tap on the ground so we promptly turned it into security. Once in the mall, we prayed for a lady in her wheelchair (she had knee surgery 3 months ago and had the wheelchair ever since). We prayed 3 times and the pain went from 7/10 to 5/10 to 3/10 to 0/10. Daniel asked if she would like to try walking without the wheelchair, she said yes so we helped her up. She was walking with a noticeable limp so we asked her what was wrong, she said her leg was really stiff, so we prayed for that and then she was walking perfectly! After, we prayed for her and her husband’s smoking addiction. We prayed for another guy in a wheelchair with 10/10 back pain from getting hit by a truck 17 years ago. We prayed once and all his pain went away! Then me and Ryan split up from the rest of the group and talked to Edna, a Mall regular. We prayed for a bunch of things including her leg pain which also got better. Some other crazy stuff happened including an attempted stabbing ( I don’t know all the details – see reports below), some major spiritual warfare with No Name, and some pinpoint accurate prophecies from Jeremiah.
We always appreciate it when people pray for us from home, believe it or not, it actually makes our ministry more effective.

Pastor Thomas’ Report:
Tonight I had the two Jeremiah’s with me for a while, as well as Teagan and Les.  We went to Main St. And prayed for a couple who were shivering so we also gave them socks and toques.  We then headed down to Portage Place where Les and I paired up.  We prayed for a young man named Sean who was a Christian who works at Teen Challenge.  He really appreciated the personal ministry and shared that he was the product of a rape and was rejected by his parents.  We then ran into two young men who were sitting on a bench, one of them named Sid who wasn’t feeling well.  We prayed off oppression, heaviness, and discouragement and felt led to pray protection over him.  From there we met Jade an aboriginal woman who wanted prayer over her recent breakup with her boyfriend. We began prophesying over her value and destiny and she began to weep and received the love of Jesus.  We just finished praying for her when there was shouting and screaming going on down the hallway.  When we arrived Sid (the guy we had just prayed for) was crying and sharing with Gaylene how he had been attacked by his ex-boyfriend and was beside himself.  She prayed for him and comforted him and then gave a police report over the phone.  Still distraught he asked for a ride home so we did.  On the way to his home, he shared how he had never received Jesus into his life so we prayed with him a prayer of invitation to accept Jesus.

Lorraine’s Report:
Last night there were too many things going to be able to count.  God was on the move in many situations. I was with Davey (a newer person on our teams), and Felipe, and then at various times, our team would intersect with Ed and his team of people.  First, we went to Siloam Mission and met with the guys outside the dorm building.  Most of them know who we are by now and sometimes they laugh at us, with us, etc and we’ve now been nicknamed the “God Squad”.  LOL  We had asked them if they needed any prayer or clothing, etc and mostly they didn’t, but sometimes it’s about building relationships with people and this takes much time and energy to build trust, especially when you have been deeply wounded or disappointed by others.  We blessed them and moved on the dining room in Siloam and those who volunteer/work there seem to recognize us at this point.  It was so cold out that we really appreciated being able to go into a warm place.  Can you imagine for a moment what it would be like if you had no home or place to go and it’s minus 30 degrees in the cold as you stood outside a building at night waiting and hoping for a bed to sleep in and a warm blanket?
We stayed at the dining room for about a half hour, met various ‘regulars’ like Barry, Rob and others.  I prayed for a man who was bent over with the sickness and he had a fever.  He was a bit surprised by that encounter and grateful.  We met with a few other people, but most were on their way out to try and get a bed for the night or go some other place for shelter and warmth.  Later, we drove to Portage Place and stayed the same rest of the evening there.  At one point Felipe & I ministered to a man named David. He was grieved, crying about his Mom, Diane, who was very sick and dying, and he himself was broken inside, wounded, and as it turned out struggling with cancer.  He had a very soft, tender heart and confessed to Felipe & I that he was abused (raped) as a boy…hard stuff…alcohol was his way of dulling his deep pain and losses.  Felipe began to pray for David and wow!  God poured out His great compassion through Felipe into David’s heart to comfort and strengthen him even though he continued to weep.  A very moving picture of one man, ministering the love of Jesus to another broken man.  At one point two other team members came and we continued to pray for David.
There were other God-encounters at the mall, many that were quite dramatic at times (i.e. Healing of a woman in a wheelchair–yes, again it happened! And an encounter with another team that actually likely saved the life of a person at the mall who was attacked about five minutes later by a ‘friend’ with a knife who was trying to kill him.)  Demons were manifesting in people, some people found Jesus last night, and a number of other incidents occurred where God was manifesting His powerful love for others!!)
