#84 – The Darkness Doesn’t Like the Light

Provided you speak the message God gives you, you are not responsible for the results. Ezekiel was only responsible if he failed to give the warning.” – Nicky Gumble
Thirty-nine people came out to minister this week.  A couple of teams started at Main Street, and Siloam, before coming to Portage Place.  One team left Portage Place and went to General Hospital – details in Andy’s report below.  Geraldine met Lucy who had been healed of arthritis 2 weeks ago, and who now no longer needs her wheelchair.  Lucy was so excited to see Geraldine again she couldn’t stop hugging her.
I had a very long talk with a mall semi-regular named Andy, he is a government retiree and a friend of “No Name” (who he says is weird).  He sought me out and wanted to tell his story.  He talked none stop for about half an hour.  He claims to be a believer but says there are many other truths out there.  He has read about many other religions, but when I asked him if he had ever read the Bible, he admitted he hadn’t.  He walks with a limp and he also had told me he keeps hearing ‘thoughts’ in his brain about mistakes he has made in his past.  I told him Jesus loved him – he said he knew, but I repeated it 4 times while touching his chest with my finger, and making a point that His love was personal for him.  When it seemed he finally got it I offered to pray to heal his leg and remove the ‘thoughts’ in his head, but he wasn’t ready.  My parting words were, “The next time we meet if you ask me to pray for you, Jesus will heal your leg, and take away those ‘thoughts’.”  He just said, “We’ll see.”
After I left the mall I heard ‘No Name’ created a big stir, by swearing, yelling, and pushing one of our team members into a planter.  He was objecting to a man named Cody being delivered from a demon.  Security kicked our team members and Cody out of the mall, but let ‘No Name’ stay.  The team finished delivering Cody outside.
It underscores the point that we won’t be able to do this ministry and not expect some opposition.
Those of you that pray for us – pray that we won’t be banned from the mall.
Andy’s Report:
On Thursday at Portage Place, I met an old friend at the mall and we went to the hospital with 3 others and prayed with her son.  He had blood infection in the leg. We prayed for him in his room and left him in a little better condition. We all sensed God moving and saw him downstairs later walking and very energetic.  We also met 2 of his friends and they both accepted Jesus as their savior.  We prayed for a number of other people in the hospital and saw changes for the better in their bodies and minds. Later in the mall, we met a homeless Nigerian young man, Obi.  We prayed against old trauma. He accepted Jesus as savior and received the Holy Spirit – complete change! Things went a little crazy with no name after that so was time to go. Praying for a church for these new believers in Christ.

Lorraine’s Report:

There were 4 other people with me on my team last night, three teens and another young woman named Diana.  We met various people in the mall area.  Our first activity was to go to the Women’s Health Clinic in the concourse towards Bell/MTS Centre and we prayed outside this clinic for about 20 mins or so.  Abortions are performed in this clinic.  We spent time praying for the women who would come, their babies, and those performing abortions.  While we were praying another team of young men (3) came along and joined us in prayer.  We flooded that place with the love of the living God!  Later on we went to the other mall and prayed for a gentleman named Brandon in the Food Court area. He had level 5 pain in his left leg.  We prayed twice and his pain left.  He was a believer in Jesus.  At that point, I split up the team and Jeremiah led the other two guys to pray for a few other people.  On our way back we met saw a man who’s walking was impaired and Jeremiah took his team to go pray for him.  I ministered and prophesied over a young woman and the Spirit of God began releasing His blessing and encouragement on her as she began to cry.  It seemed as if Papa God was wrapping His arms around her and lovingly hugging her.  His love is soooo amazing!  This is why we do what we do every Thursday.

Davy’s Report:

This Thursday I really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in a deeper way!
I sat down with a lady in the food court and after talking for a while, I discovered she had arthritis and had a hip surgery about a year ago.  She was experiencing a lot of pain in her shoulders and knees.  I asked if I could pray for her and told her Jesus really wants to take the pain away! She let me pray for her 4 times, and each time the pain became less and less, going from a 7/10 to a 5 to a 2 to NO PAIN! It was incredible! She was also hungry, and so we were able to walk up the stairs to the second floor (something she told me she couldn’t do before because of her pain) and bought her some groceries.  She left so encouraged and pain-free!
A few minutes later we met Ed, another member of our team, and shared this testimony! He told me how his wrist had been acting up just that day and asked me to pray for him. As I prayed for his wrist, all the pain left! God is so good!  God is touching people and increasing my boldness which is incredible to experience.

Jeremiah’s Report:

I was with Lorraine, Diana, Sid, and Denzel.
We started the evening by making our way to City Place.  On our way, we stopped at the abortion clinic and prayed that God would move in there.  When we got to the food court, Sid and I saw a lady called Alexis who had some type of arthritis, we prayed but we didn’t see any change .(but we know Gods doing something)
We started making our way back to portage when I saw a guy that was limping.his name was David and he had a knee replacement and after he had the surgery, he fell down some stairs and now he had a crooked leg. I told him that I could help him and I tapped my index finger on his knee.  He said it felt better. I told him that we are Christians and what he just experienced was the power of God. I asked if we could pray and he said yes. we prayed and he mentioned that he felt knocking on his knee. so cool!!!
Back at the mal,l there was lots  of stuff happening including satan trying to derail Denzel, Sid and I with a security guard who was challenging our beliefs (in your dreams evil one! LOL)
Lorraine got flooded with Holy Spirit as we prayed for her sore hand.
I prayed for someone’s foot quickly but I couldn’t check to see if it was better, but I told her to check it later because it will be healed.
I prayed for a very serious looking person for finances, relationships and health and his countenance changed.

    I love doing this ministry!
