Joyce Meyer puts it this way, “When trouble comes do you ‘run to the phone’ or do you ‘run to the throne’?”

Pastor Thomas’ Report:
Tonight there were 20 people that came out for our Outreach. I was teamed up with Diana and Sheyenne. We went to Portage Place and outside we met Rosalyn who we approached asking if she needed prayer. She had level 8 pain as well as arthritis pain in her leg. She had broken her leg when she was 10 and the bone had gone through the skin. She is 35 so for 25 years she has suffered from this constant pain. Her foot was also broken in 3 places at the age of 21.
After prayer, all her pain left and she started jumping on her foot. She was so surprised and said she hadn’t been able to do that in such a long time.
After that, we went into Portage Place which was quiet and spent some time praying for a few of the regulars in the food court like Sharon and Rita. We prayed for a couple outside Portage Place and I had the word anxiety which ended up being for her brother who was also there and he had just broken up with his girlfriend. He was not a Christian yet but warmly welcomed prayer He was greatly touched and very appreciative.
As we left, Diana noticed a young girl who looked confused and felt the word ‘addiction’ we caught up to her at Central Park. She was a 15-year-old named Kelly who was open to talking about some of her struggles. She lives with her Grandma and boyfriend and showed signs of abuse. She was open to prayer, received Jesus into her heart and asked for a Bible which Diana offered to take to her.
Sheyenne then had a word for a woman named Paula who was walking her dog. She was not open at first but then let us pray for her diabetes.
Trevor’s Report:
Ed, Michelle, Audrey and I went to Main Street. When we first got there, no one was around so we went to Pizzarama to get pizza’s then suddenly lots of people showed up. It’s pretty funny how this happens. It’s like you get bait, then the fish come. I talked to a person who was in the wheelchair and she was telling me that she wants to work but she couldn’t and I’ve prayed for her foot that was in a cast and she was feeling heat in her foot, she had crushed her bones in her foot somehow, I prayed and her foot was healed, she was now able to wiggle her toes. As I put my hand on the cast of her foot I saw a vision of her bones coming back in order as I was praying.
I prayed for a woman, named Louise, who was using a walker. She had pain throughout her body and Michelle and I prayed for her and she felt better. I wanted to pursue her with more prayer, but she wanted to leave. I also prayed for Susan who was on crutches and had pain in her left knee for the last two years. I put my hand on her knee and she was completely healed. She was in shock and her eyes became really big, and she had a huge expression of surprise – it was a funny reaction.
I then gave out lots of pizza and I asked a guy who was just walking by if he wanted a slice. He refused at first but then said okay. His name was Brian, he was telling me that he had a very bad day and when I offered him pizza he was really shocked cause he had such a bad day that he felt he didn’t deserve a slice but he grabbed one anyways. Brian was telling us about how bad his day was and that he’s a believer in God but going through lots in his life, I asked if he wanted prayer but he refused.
When the crowd became smaller we went to Central Park. I prayed for Gelane who comes out with us sometimes. She was going through a lot of things from work because her boss was telling her what to do in a mean way and she felt that wasn’t acceptable. So we prayed and she felt at peace about it after. It was a Great time altogether. Well, have yourselves a good week everyone. 🙂
Gaylene’s Report:
It was a beautiful hot night in Central Park for ‘SHOP in the City’. Our team included Andy, Lani, Gelane, Mike and Suzanne. We handed out several flats of water and prayed for dozens of people.
One of highlights was the opportunity to pray for a couple of young ladies from Ethiopia. Lula struggled with unhealthy thought patterns and Yodit struggled with fear.
After 13 nights in Central Park, it’s hard not to notice the effects of the meth problem in Winnipeg. Another team joined us in Central Park, and Trevor and I wandered over to the picnic tables where most of the drug and alcohol use takes place. We happened upon a young man sleeping on the grass. His name was Devon and initially, he said he needed prayer for energy but then confessed he was coming off meth. We offered to pray for him and invited some others to come to pray for him but once he saw the group he quickly gained the energy we prayed for, and he got up and left.
‘SHOP in the City’, will have a daily presence for four more nights in Central Park.
As we are in the hour of a great harvest of souls, there is an increase of anointing on Jeremiahs who have been called by the Lord to preach the Gospel. I see the fire of revival being released through these preachers of the Gospel. The Spirit of God had been incubating over them and it’s a now time for the release of the fire of His Word that has been locked within them to be released through the preaching of the Gospel.
