About 24 people showed-up at Zion church to participate in the street ministry. Five teams were formed and we went to Portage Place after a time of worship.
At first, our team was not having any success. One man I approached walked with a cane and had metal braces on his right leg, but he flatly stated he didn’t want any prayer. Another man with a cane, said prayer was nice, he would pray for me, and I could pray for him, and he immediately left. Andy approaches a lady who was sitting in the food court, but she also refused prayer. What is interesting is Kevin’s team approached the same lady about an hour later, and she then agreed to prayer and was healed of blindness in her right eye.
Andy recognized a man with a walker, whom he had prayed for last week. He asked him why he still had the walker as he had been healed. He laughingly told us he kept it because he was so used to it, and it was a great chair to sit on when he wanted to sit.
While we were talking to him, Al (another Al on our team) engaged a man named Rick who also had a walker. As we joined Al and Rick, he told us he had just prayed for Rick’s partial deafness in his right ear, and his hearing had been restored. I asked him why he needed a walker. He said he had myopathy (disease of the muscles), and that he had a pain level of about 7. We prayed for the pain, and it dropped to about 4 and then down to 0. We followed that with praying for healing of his muscles. He said as we prayed he experienced a lot of heat. We then asked him to check his legs by walking. He said it seemed good as he tested his legs by walking, very different than it was he told us. He then told us he had been on life support for his lungs, and that he has a hard time breathing, and his lungs are only functioning at 33%. We then prayed for 100% lung capacity. Rick said that he was immediately able to breathe easier (although we had no way of measuring his capacity we took this as a sign of healing). I then reviewed with him all that he had been healed of and asked him if he knew what had just taken place. His answer surprised us all. He said, “Yes, the Holy Spirit has come and healed me.” So I asked, “You know Jesus?” “Yes,” he answered, “I have been an evangelist in Oxford House for 17 years.” So we all celebrated together.
I then asked him if there was anything else we could pray for. He said yes for his family and his marriage. Because of all the medical problems they have been apart from their children, and Family Services wants to take the children away and put them in Foster Care, and all of this has put a lot of strain on their marriage, plus his wife, Cecelia has diabetes. Just as we began to pray Cecelia showed-up. We invited her into our circle, explained to her the healing her husband had just received, and we prayed for her diabetes, and for their family.
The team then joined other team’s who were engaged with Don Bouchard, a former addict and pimp, who now has a ministry to street people called Out of the Darkness. He had come to Portage Place purposefully to connect with Zion’s Street Ministry to see how we could work together.
The mall was pretty quiet, Central Park was empty, and I thought every team’s evening was kind of slow until I read Trevor’s report below.
Trevor’s Report for Sept 29th
Most of the people I encountered tonight were high on drugs and/or were drunk with alcohol but all of them became sober when I commanded healing over them. One lady cried in my arms and immediately she became sober after hugging me with tears coming down her cheeks. I also cried with her and felt so much compassion come over me when I was just loving this lady with Jesus’ love. It brought so much joy in my life to see this lady ask Jesus to come into her life and hear her repent from her sin and know she was starting a new life with Him.
One guy said, “I feel so much Love coming from you.” His name was Allen and he was so happy that I was there for him. He said to me, “No one would come and talk to me and hear my story except you came and heard from me and showed me love.” Allen wears glasses and when he looks far away he has very blurry eye vision and he is diagnosed as 80% blind. I commanded his eyes to be healed. I kept speaking life to his eyes and for his vision to be restored and I kept pressing on with the prayer that He will see more improvements in his eyes. His eye vision went down to 30%. I kept praying about 10 times commanding his eyes to be healed. It didn’t go down to 0% for him to see completely but I told him his eyes are healed and I believe that.
There was a lady that came and sat down beside Allen and she was intoxicated and I couldn’t understand any word that she said but I kept saying, “yes, yes”. Then I talked about the Lord’s Prayer and she just started crying and she just melted and through the love of Jesus she just turned sober while she cried. She then told me her name was Carol.
Another guy named Bill had pain in his back down his legs to his feet. So I commanded healing over Bill and he was instantly healed and all the pain left him.
When I was leaving to go to the car in the parking lot I saw a big security guy making his rounds. He told me he had pain in his hip and lower back. I commanded healing over him and his back and right hip were totally healed. He also had trouble sleeping because of the things he experiences while doing security such as rape, stabbing, killings etc… so I spoke peace over his mind and that when he goes to sleep he wouldn’t have any problems sleeping anymore.
Thank you Jesus for healing All these people and transforming their lives to love you more!
