Corrie Ten Boom said; “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.”
This Easter Thursday 20 folks showed-up to minister on the streets. I spent the whole time with Rita, someone I have known for many years. Rita is a Christian First Nations lady who has been confined to a wheelchair all of her life. She had just been baptized for the 4th time and wanted some information on baptism. Seems whenever she changes churches, her new church is not happy with her previous baptism. I was able to assure her that one baptism was sufficient and that she was saved by her faith in Jesus. She also wanted to talk about some of the challenges in her life, and about her current circumstances. She also wanted some tips on how to read her Bible.
Michelle’s Report:
Ed, Audrey and I went to Siloam Misson and gave out kits with toiletries in them. Some for men and some for women. Ed also had hot chocolate to give out which always goes over well. Our group prayed for finances and protection for several who wanted prayer. We entered Siloam and in the entrance where Ed leads Michael to the Lord. I spent time connecting with Jorge who was security at the entrance. Our group then went to Portage Place Mall. Erdman from H2O asked our group to come over and pray for Oliver who had his left side paralyzed from a stroke. We prayed over Oliver several times. Oliver regained some use of his left leg. And could make movements with his left arm. We could feel his left hand was getting circulation as the hand was feeling warm. Oliver was encouraged and said he would come back next Thursday to see us. Ed and I then reconnected with Cindy. Cindy’s hand had been badly hurt and was useless and very cold. Cindy was thanking us for praying for her as she had some use with her hand and she definitely had circulation working as her hand was also warm.
Sheyenne’s Report: (from last week)
Two Thursday’s ago, I was in a group with my mom and Brahm. we encountered a few different people throughout the evening but later on, we gathered with other team members and we were visiting and deciding where to go next. my mom then asked Brahm and I, if we wanted to go outside in front of portage to hand out some doughnuts. we then approached an older woman named Priscilla who was a Christian. We gave her a doughnut and asked her if she had any pain or anything we could pray for. she told us that she was going in for cataract surgery and that we could pray for her eyes. So I put my hand on her eyes and commanded her vision to clear up and that her eyes would be one hundred percent. as soon as I took my hands off she said “it’s bright, I can see!” and we could tell by the way that she opened her eyes that she was healed! just before she left she told us that her body felt a lot better and that she had more strength and energy after we prayed for her. She was very thankful.
Pastor Thomas’ Report:
Tonight everyone went to different places so I went alone tonight to Health Sciences Centre and made my way up to the 5th floor where I prayed for Pedro a Columbian pastor who I know and who was diagnosed with cancer in his leg and had 8 hour operation to remove part of his stomach and put it in his leg. It’s called Lipco Sarcoma and is extremely rare. I went to pray for the person in the next bed named Adam, who told me he had just had an operation for the exact same problem. Unbelievable. His mom Marsha was there and asked and if I would pray for her son. I could tell by their accent they were New Yorkers. They had moved to Winnipeg when the son married a Winnipeger. I asked if they believed in God and they shared they were Jewish. They were very open though and asked if I would share my testimony of meeting Yeshua. They listened very intently. After prayer the mother said; “You were a God send and like an angel”I then went up to Concordia Hospital to pray for Bruce Rowe who was recovering from a kidney stone operation. He was touched as he had recently had his apartment broken into and had his truck stolen.
Pastor Lorraine’s Report:
I went out with Dance & Dale to the home of some friends of Dance. The husband was Henry and his wife Linda and their daughter greeted us when we arrived. They were a very warm family. We prayed for Henry who had ongoing pain and discomfort in his right hand for years. He was a massage therapist so being healed of this affliction was very important so he could work. It turned out that the bones in his hands were not aligned and he had numbness and well as problems with pinched nerves and discomfort for some time. After he shared his situation with us we invited the Holy Spirit to come as we prayed for him. We prayed for his right hand and the pain left within minutes. And then we prayed for his left leg/knee area. We asked him to sit down and we checked his legs out. It turned out that one leg was shorter than the other and he had surgery sometime before to repair some of the tendons in his left knee area. We commanded the leg to grow out and it did! And then we spoke to the leg/knee area and the tendons, nerves there, etc. I asked him to check it out to see how he felt. God had healed him! In fact, Henry was doing things with his legs and muscles that he said he could not do in almost 30 years! Amazing God we serve!! We prayed some more for his hands, wrists and the nerves/muscles. There was a noticeable improvement, but we didn’t see immediate healing. It was an honour to pray for/with this couple and we shared Jesus with them all at that time. It turned out that the husband was a believer, but hadn’t been in church and following his Christian faith for a long time. His wife chose not to respond when we asked her about accepting/believing in Jesus. But they did ask about attending Kingdom H2O on Saturday nights and were interested as well in our Sunday services, etc.
Jeremiah’s Report:
From extravagant language to the miraculous, you never know what you’re going to get on the streets, or in the malls, but we can still love them because Gods love never fails! I was with Kevin, Sid, Braham, Les, and Randy. We drove around and stopped at a McDonald’s to get some burgers to give away.I spoke with a man by the name of Miles, who is a backslidden Christian but he still agreed to let us pray for his hands, that were numb. I asked him to test it out and tell me what changed. He was healed! the numbness was gone completely and you could tell Miles has changed, He was super happy. He wasn’t quite ready to renew his faith, but I gave him a love encounter, (1 Corinthians 13:8) We then drove to the Pizzarama on Main Street where Braham prayed for a lady’s mouth that hurt, and she was healed, the pain left! Then a couple of minutes later she started telling us off. She was very fluent with a particular word! She has been seriously hurt by Christians. Unfortunately, she wouldn’t listen to us, so we had to leave. After that, we went to Portage Place and we gave out some pizza to a guy who let us pray for his shoulder that was hurting. He said it was better!! Sid and I prayed for Cherry who is deceived by satan. She believes that witchcraft has helped her. We prayed for her and let her go. I hope to see her again. What’s my highlight you ask? Its most definitely the surprise we get every time we see someone healed. It is like every time someone is healed a drop goes in our cup, and every time we enter into worship, another drop goes into our cup. Soon, all it will take to see revival is ONE DROP and the cup will overflow. The stuff we see Thursday nights is only a fraction of the drops to come!
